Will the 'true' imperialist religion stand up
Ann Coulter
April 25, 2003
Media organizations from CNN to the New York Times have all recently admitted to years of lying about conditions in Iraq under Saddam Hussein. They explain that they faced either losing "access" or subjecting their Iraqi employees - and, of more relevancy, themselves - to Saddam's torture chambers.
...
Christians who are willing to leave the safety and comfort of America to go to barbarous lands, risking disease, pestilence and murder, simply because they so love their fellow man these are the miscreants who inflame and enrage liberals more than Saddam Hussein and his rape rooms ever did.

Personally I don't have a problem with Christians going to Iraq to try to convert Muslims, as long as our government isn't supporting them in any ways. However, the odds are that they will all be killed by equally fundamentalist Muslims and then a whole new shit storm will happen.
Now as to Ms. Coulters assertion that Muslims are going to have to change religions since they are not practicing "true Islam", I find rather insulting. Not so much for the Muslims in Iraq, but for the intelligence of her readers. She is basically saying that all Muslims are not practicing "true Islam" and that they are terrorist, since the Christian missionaries I assume are going to be preaching to the general populace and not just be hunting down people who are/were terrorists. Continuing, her comparison of the British government manipulation of ancient Hindu scripts with the present situation is logically unsound. The U.S. government or it's liberal components are not the ones looking through the Qur'an looking for different interpretations of it's message, these are the message from the majority of the practicing Muslims in the world. Now as to her comment on how Christianity was some how a "a torn in the side of conquerors and slave-traders", is completely untrue. Christianity spread throughout the ancient world through Roman conquest. It spread throughout the Americas through Spanish and English conquest. So please don't tell me Christianity was any different from Islam unless you are going to say that those people were not practicing "true Christianity".

hehe i just read the 'article' where they graded all the news outlets on their respective war coverage.miir wrote:Is there a 'left wing' equivalent (that's the opposite of these lunatics right?) to these types of web sites?
only one got an A in any category. Guess which one!
my favorite quote from the review:
Fox News Channel refused to adopt the liberal media’s standard for “objective” war reporting, where objectivity demanded an indifference to whether America succeeded or failed.
Ann Coulter is about as batshit looney as it gets. I read one of her books and to be honest for the first half of it I really thought that she was a clever left wing satirist parodying an ultra right-wing rant machine. Absolutely everything wrong with the world to her is a liberal plot to destroy America. It wasn't until I saw her on Politically Incorrect and saw how _totally fucking insane_ she is that I actually believed that she thinks she is some kind of protector of right wing justice. She's like 5'11 and weighs about 90 lbs. and she has these big wild eyes that make her look like a deer trapped in the headlights of a big car.
Her closest liberal counterpart is probably Al Sharpton, but at least Sharpton has some kind of cause. I would say that she is a lot like Noam Chomsky, but Chomsky does have a shred of intellectual credibility in his tinfoil hat liberal rants.
She should be institutionalized but instead makes millions on writing books bought by stupid rednecks like Metanis who don't know how the world works in reality but are comforted by the uneducated rantings of people equally stupid and crazy. The only thing positive anyone with a brain can say about her is that she knows her market (morons) and exploits it for cash.

Haha
I didn't know who you were talking about until I saw her picture. Holy cats she is fucking nutzoid! I've seen here on PI as well. She would just go off on some crazy tangets that had nothing to do with the discussion all the time.
She's the exact opposite of the character Mel Gibson played in Conspiricay Theory, but just as whacked.

Their tolerance and understanding is in abundant display right here on VV!

People like Kooky and Miir are already heading down this path. They figure they know what's best for the rest of us.Though some colonialists used Christianity as a fig leaf for pillage, they were precisely as Christian as Cuba, China and North Korea are "democratic" today. Someday, liberals will denounce democracy, citing the atrocities of Red China as proof of what such a monstrous system of government can do.

Metanis, I understand you are strong with your beliefs, and I am cool with that. I do not agree with many of the conservative party's views, but to each there own.
However, I tell you this now, because I do not think you are a bad guy:
This lady is an imbecile, a programmed propaganda machine, the equiviant of Arnold in T2 but without the badass guns, the moral story or the catchy phrases. Run far, run fast, do not look back.

The ever perfict and valor filled christians, who have in no way ever commited any crimes in the name of religion, are willing to risk there lives to convert those evil barbaric heratic muslims. Of course, in her history of christianity she conveiniantly leaves out the spanish inquisition, the salem witch trials, and all other "incidences".Im sorry but people like that lady are whats wrong with this world, people like that lady and that one lady you watched in highschool that told you sex was the devils middle name couse jesus said so.
