The face of MMORPG failure???

No holds barred discussion. Someone train you and steal your rare spawn? Let everyone know all about it! (Not for the faint of heart!)

The face of MMORPG failure???

Post by Animalor »

AC2 seems to be it.

Here's a quote that I found particularly amusing from the article.
Amount of Players

The big thing that has struck me about my time back so far is that the world is just plain empty. I play on Frostfell, arguably the most populated of the non-PK servers. At its height, which I measured to be Saturday afternoon, there were 800 players. Typically, that number hangs around 200.

This morning(Thursday, April 03), there were 15 players on the Leafcull server. Fifteen.
Methinks that is something doesn't happen VERY soon that some designer heads are going to be rolling over at Turbine Entertainment. Either that or MS will decide to cut their losses and can this game altogether...

Good information.

I've often wondered when this would happen. I'm continually surprised that games like WWIIOL, AC2, AO, and especially UO still have player bases large enough to sustain their businesses.

(please change 'failore' to 'failure')
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

AC2 deserves to fail. God that game was so utterly boring and empty of anything resembling content.

I tried AC when it came out, so I felt no need to even try AC2.

if i remember correctly, they only let AC players test AC2, and I sure as fuck wasn't going to buy the game cold just to see if it was any good.
