Ok, so I emailed Tom last night and, provided he likes the nekkid pics..., will be playing soon.

Anyone want to give me suggestion on what to start with? Especially, do you notice a shortage in any particular area? There are several things I'm interested in (Bakara filled me in a bit) but I'm curious what you guys think.

Head to the VR in your sanctuary and test out all the weapons/vehicles to see what you like. Play what you like too otherwise it won't be fun

I'm not going to play something just because someone tells me I should, but knowing me, I'll like too many things and won't be able to make a decision. At least if I know there is a demand for something it could help me make a decision.

Well then...medic/eng/hacking is always in demand. As are AMS drivers and Galaxy pilots. I would also suggest getting certified on the harasser and/or mosquito so you can get around easier too.

Well, we need medics, but we're about to have a lot of those soon. Aran and I are going that route. I already am an engineer too... What we really need are big ol' MAX's and heavy gunners...

hehe I was just about to post that I'm sorta leaning towards medic, engineering, and hacking. Being a chick I guess I lean more toward "support" areas more than direct combat roles. Sniper sounds interesting to me though..

Just PM me naked pics, and I'll give you all the suggestions/cover fire you need.

On a serious note, I think medium weapons is the ideal first Cert to get, unless you're planning on being either a MAX specialist, Infiltrator, or Vehicle specialist.

I will recommend things not to cert in as well:
Adv Medical - Useless in it's current state.
Basilisk - There are far better ways to spend 3 points
Galaxy/Sniper - Great certs, but I don't recommend taking either one right away
Lightning - Light single person tank. Waste of 4 cert points IMHO.
