You know, I'm getting really fucking tired of being accused of favoritism and cliques and whatever the fuck else you people can conjure up in your little minds.

I like to think of myself as a pretty patient person, and most anyone who knows me can tell you I am. Having said that, I'm getting pretty sick of it.

I do not read every single fucking thread on the boards. When someone points out one that is beyond the cosmic limits of stupidity, or there are multiple calls for a thread to be moved/locked, I wait what I feel is an appropriate amount of time for people to get their say in and I lock it. Yes this is a subjective decision. If you don't like it go make your own boards and YOU can deal with all the whiney little bitches who just need something to complain about to be happy. Pyrella and I (usually myself since I do most of the locking/moving) try and do our best and remain as objective as possible when it comes to moderating. It doesn't happen very often, and when it does I feel fairly confident that the right decisions are made in regards to it. However, I am not perfect and if there is a large outcry regarding a certain action I usually reverse it.

I asked for 10 people to voice their approval on locking the Gaklek thread. If that's not fucking democratic enough for you, then there's probably not much that is aside from a full blown election for each thread.

There's all of like 3 rules, and they're common sense more than anything else. Actually the third rule could apply to half the board, and The Machines addition would have seriously brought most of these posts (as noted multiple times) to a locked status or the retard forum, unfortunately we don't see him around much anymore.

With him gone that leaves all of 2 people. Me, and Xou, neither of us want the job, we just want to provide a place where you wont get nazi modded for simple things like cursing (remember? the real reason the ign mods got all pissy and we ended up moving, or are we just using anything to lash out at anyone at any time?). In adition to that, me and Xou are fairly vulnerable to *any* action we perform due to regardless of what the case may *really* be, we each are 'representatives' of our guild, and we must be biased that way. If not our guild, then part of the people who attended thus n such event, or whatever the case may be. Perhaps people haven't noticed that very rarely, if ever, do we get involved with any thread that may be political.

If you need to know, the only 'side' I take is with indivduals who have a shred of decency and humanity and appreciation for there fellow humans. However even that gets thrown out the window when it comes to these boards, and as I said in my last post in that 'other' thread, I'm not going to make judgment calls like that again. I've learned from my mistake, and will strive not to repeat it.

So that said, I'll continue to do what I've always done, and try to give something back to the community that has given so much to me, and be able to provide information, services, and entertainment just like I got from everyone else.

Now, this thread angers me. Everyone knows Xou and I are good friends, and of course I would defend him. Want to know something else? When this board was created, I had NO idea who Pyrella was...and guess what, I'm gonna defend him now too...he's EARNED my respect.

These two guys both work day jobs, and have real life responsibilities. Not only do they moderate this board when they have time, they created it, set it up, and manage it. Sure, not everyone is going to like the way they handle things. There is no possible way to please everyone all the time. And it's foolish for those minority few, to demand gratification. In real life, on the board, where ever...that's just immature and insensitive to your fellow man. If you are one of a very small group out of a huge portion of people who don't like things, do you really expect to be handed your instant happines card at the expense of all the other people who are presently happy? Maybe this would be an appropriate time to slow down and re-examine the rules of the board. Maybe amend a few to include some situations or issues that have recently come up. I don't blame the Mods if they're using their powers within their defined limits. If those limits aren't defined, and people take issue, maybe it's time to define them, or let everyone know that they've got that power and can/will exersize it.
