So, like we are having some potluck thing here at work and everyone told my boss what they are bringing and she sent out an email to let everyone know.

On the subject of ignorance...

I dropped film off yesterday (Monday) and the guy says "Do you want this one-hour, or next day?". So I think to myself, "Well, I'm not gonna be in this area of town in an hour, but I am going to be around here at about this time tomorrow", so I say "Next day", and the guy says, "Ok, these will be ready on Wednesday."

So WTF? Next day would be today...Tuesday. Is he saying that he can only do pictures in One-Hour OR 48 hours? If he has no options between One-Hour and 48 Hours, why the fuck do they call it next day? If there is some truck that picks up film every day at 3PM and I didn't drop mine off until 6PM, then it's not next day, is it? Next day would mean the little prick would develop my film in-store some time in the next 24 hours, perhaps in his spare time. Hell, it's done on a machine FFS, and it's not like the local drug store is worried about quality.

I'm sick of static terms being used for dynamic situations...it's fucking annoying.

They send it off if you don't get 1 hour, it's a different process. If you drop it off after the daily pickup/dropoff, then you have to wait two days.

On the upside, 1 hour processing is worthless unless you take really fuzzy, under/overexposed photos to start with, cause that's what you're getting back

Cheesecake is definitely the champion when it comes to cake or pies. It sort of crosses the desert "nationalities", a delicious hybrid cake/pie. Pake? Cie? I just like to call it some damned tasty shit.
