Stashing weapons in a school way to go Saddam!!!

Image

British soldiers from the light infantry and 2nd Royal Tank Regiment stand by ammunitions inside the Zubayr Primary School in Az Zubayr, south of Basra, after they discovered an arms cache in the school on Tuesday.

I like how they put a picture of Saddam on the pile of munitions.
Where's the sign on the door that says 'SADDAMS WEAPONS'?

Hey cart, is there a story to go along with the picture?

This idot should know that he is required to put the weapons out in the middle of the open desert with a big red bullseye on it. Wtf is he thinking? It's almost like he dosen't want us to find them or something...

Please tell me you're not surprised by this.

There is no way Iraq can beat us using traditional warfare. The fact that they are using guerilla tactics shouldn't be a shock to anyone. That's all they have left.

I wonder why they haven't used their WMDs yet? Have any theories on that one?

The US has non-lethal (classified as riot control agents I believe) chemical weapons in the gulf region.

Does anyone else find it just a bit ridiculous that those riot control agents are against the Geneva convention, but a bullet from an AR-15 isn't ?

They haven't used them AFAIK.

The funny part is you are allowed to use them domestically.

Technically, we would be in violation of the Geneva convention for using them.

In truth the classification is completely out of date and goes back to when pepper spray was truly some nasty shit and very little was known about lingering effects of tear gas.

Trust me, is we shot down a wall of soldiers rather than trying non-lethals we would take a lot more heat.

Someone actually tried to make the point that domestic use was fine, because riots were much more controlled environments than the battlefield and care could be taken not to dose someone too heavily.

I was pepper sprayed at the Ohio State vs. Michigan game this year :( That stuff really hurts. It was sort of funny watching all the drunk kids stumble around even more dazed and confused, though. hehe.

They have the riot control pepper sprays and tear gas for use in domestic disturbances there. They are not permitted to use them against troops, but they can use them if there is a civilian riot.
