So Sat. Morning I find Dain up so I decided that now is the time to get my ninth ring, So I hand in my 8th Ring and my box of Heads only to find out that I did not combine the heads. I lost my 8th ring and all my heads but got back the box. I did Petition and emailed but no response yet, they are probally still laughing.

The dagger should have been in the box with the heads, how could you still have the dagger? Dagger + 5 heads x combine + ring = 9th ring +dirk of dain

On the bright side getting the heads is fairly easy with the level cap raised I bet 3 people can do almost all of them....I know I did most of them with just 3 people before.

I thought the hardest part of the quest was the 10th ring obviously, but the 8th ring camp was the 2nd hardest part.

Well, GM recently replaced my Corroded Chain Tunic and gems when I gave them without checkin faction... yeah, dumb me as well.... so they may give yours back as well. There's hope anyway... first GM told me flat out NO..then three days later I get a tell from a guide asking me to log off so her GM could replace my items... Makes no sense, but I wasn't gonna mention the prior GM reply:)

Hence my post last week on factioning Coldain heh...

Well there was another blunder on my part the Dirk was not in the box either.

The heads were simple I did all but Peffin Solo but i do not want to do the 1-8th Ring again

Having just gone through a very serious process with my account that required 2 GM's, what I can tell you Cart is you must be:

1. very persistant
2. online past 11pm EST
3. petition every day.
4. really fucking patient.

Polite helps too.

Cart don't admit any wrongdoing, as we have been infiltrated by the guides and GM's of Veeshan on this board!!!111 You may want to ask Xou to remove all posts on this thread

Nah its my fuck up I will live with it

But I thought the understanding was that if ou didnt hand in the right items you got the items back.

It SHOULD have told you it didn't need those items and gave them back, true nuf dat. Remember the equation posted before and GL, I am getting ready to attempt my 10th ring

10th ring war is an absolute joke anymore.

On the petition.
Don't be an ass to the GMs. Be firm and persistant, but don't be an ass. I know a guy recently that would have had to start his entire cleric epic over because a miss turn in, but he got to a GM and after ~2wks they gave him his stuff back.

Make a petition hotkey and hit it when you log in every day. I was braindead one night and actually handed the banker over 22k instead of putting it in the bank. I petitioned every night for 2 weeks. Every night, the same guides would reply, and I was always concise with the information (I told them exactly how much plat I gave the banker) and I smudged some details ( I went to click cancel and accidently clicked Give ) and the guides were really sympathetic. When I spoke to the GM, he said that they normally don't do things like that, but he would go ahead and do it because 3 of the guides that were on spoke to him about it.

I think he said all that to "frighten" me into never doing it EVAR again. But I got my plat back, and re-equipped my rogue, yet again. And then I sent tells to all the guides thanking them for helping me out. I think it went a long way, because I still get tells from a few of them every once in a while.
