Don't know how accurate that is seeing as how it's not on any other sites that I have seen so far, and one of the pictures used there is on the front of the BBCi site.

nah, just US military taking out some artillary that is in the Southern No Fly Zone.

we have hit communications stations, weapons systems, etc in this area for years.

but it is preperation for war that is for sure. paving the road to baghdad for the infantry.

Read on Norwegian news sites about a military ship from Kuwait opening fire on Iraqi boats, and about US forces blowing up stuff around Basra. Also about long military convoys heading into the demilitarized zone between Kuwait and Iraq.
