THe Onion was better than usual this week, they've been starting to suck.

You got me all excited I thought someone else really had a beef with the DMV

My shit expired last june.

I've been trying to get proof I paid my car taxes in GA so I can register here in Kentucky.

Here is the issue. I moved. Post office didn't forward my mail. So I paid my renewal taxes via a regular check in an envelope, they didn't receive the check...so I sent another check and they in fact cashed the 2nd check.

The complicated part is I need a receipt from them to use as proof my car taxes are upt o date so I can register up here......but GA is fucking with me on that. They refused to admit they got the second check, then I proved they cashed it and they changed thier tune, so they said they would fax it, but they didn't. So I called back up and they told me I have to send them $1....well I have contacted them atleast 5x telling them I need to make sure my taxes are up to date to register at my new location...why didn't they tell me to overpay by a $1? Shit isn't it common practice to get a recipt if you ask when you pay money for a service? But no...they need that $1 now...I told them that's unacceptable that I have a car in my driveway for months now that is all due to thier errors, they hung up on me....I will admit after a little while I did start yelling "I haven't been able to drive for several months now because of you fuckers" repeatedly into the phone.

Now 3 days ago (maybe 4) I sent an e-mail asking them where to send the $1 to...politely. And no response.

Did I mention every time I call them I get put on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes, long distance? And most times they lie and say something is taken care of when it is not?

Oh and they won't accept check by phone or credit cards etc...not even if I offer to pay a fee of $20 on the $1 charge.

I feel like going down there and kicking some ass.
