I was informed tonight of a level 1 warrior named Aedari in the bazaar, so I logged in to check it out. Sure enough, I couldn't log in my ranger. So, I logged in Zou and talked to her.

She just made the character with the random name generator (which is funny cause I created the name from two friends names - Aericura and Modari, then made Aedari from them) as a bazaar alt.

Told her not to delete the other Aedari, because I was worried it might delete mine too, and I'm waiting to hear from a GM about it.

Anyone else ever have this happen? It's craaaazy.

You are obviously using an exproit so you must be banned!

I heard about it happening a while back with Lvl 1's being able to take the name of other characters already created. They also had access to their gear as well if I'm not mistaken?

My friend Erill had this happen to him about 2 years ago, a level 5 was running around with the same name , Erill, He petitioned and the GM was supposed to change the Noobs name but he screwed up and accidently changed Erill's name to Erillx.

The GM said the only thing he could do was to give him a new name or change it to Eril ( one L ). so he was then know as Eril.

Something different about the 2 situations is that Erill was able to log on while the noob erill was online also, as here you can not

That bug has been around since Beta, unfortunately. It happened to me on one of my alts, Jadzia. Someone else rolled a character with that name about 4 months after I created her, and I logged in to find my Jadzia renamed "Jadziax." She had been a level 45 DE wizard, and was now a level 1 Human Warrior. The GMs resolved the problem after about 3 weeks of heavy petitioning and bickering.

Best of luck to you; it's a tough problem, and not quickly resolved.
