Thanks Veeshan

Post by Synee »

I retired as an officer of a top-five guild on another busy server last November, after playing since 1999. My EQ account is cancelled but paid up till April, so I've been messing around as a n00b and happened to pick Veeshan.

I just wanted to say that the generosity and acts of random kindness I've encountered from players on Veeshan have been amazing. Most high level people stop and buff me at random. I gave directions to a lost person and he appeared later with some plat to say thanks. Tonight a lowbie ranger walked up at random and emptied his mana into healing me up. Nobody has started an argument with me, whined or made me want to /ignore them (except maybe the bazaar gambling spammers ... but they are outweighed by the 5 plat bargains you can pick up as a newbie these days). And I'm not even a naked wood elf female.

So thanks! I am a veteran of ugly guild politics in the high-level game and I know it's easy to be cynical about this kind of post, but there are a lot of good people on this server and you should feel good.

Yes you do appear to be in desperate need of a forum for real life political threads.

By the way, you wouldn't believe the number of actual real 100% n00bs in the game who seem to have bought it a few days ago. Some kind of mass exodus from the dying embers of AC1 and extra publicity from EQ:OA.

Veeshan is a special place. Very few people are hated on an individual basis.

Most of the h8 here is group to group.

Yes, Veeshan is full of nice people. I've only had a few really bad encounters in this game. Not bad considering it's been 4 years playing this game.

Well, ya lost me there. You don't come onto an established forum and tell them what they should be doing differently. Pretty rude IMO. I'll let that one go flame-free for now because I'm busy playing air guitar to Rage Against the Machine. Now if you'll excuse me, my pretend audience awaits.

Is brewing as expensive as alchemy? Cause I know 6 hours of increasing alchemy skill, would be a hell of dent in my pocket book.

Minotaur is 7 item i believe you sunnova beech

that is pretty much why i quit brewing.

it is a fucking waste of time, and maddening. sitting around and doing mouseclicks for a couple hours to raise your skill a couple of points is really the low point of the game.

Took brewing to ~188 and said to hell with it, my arm was hurting :)

Only made it to ~50 blacksmithing, tailoring ~20 :)

Tailoring is the worst.

Pottery was the biggest shock. Up to 200 it's all wine and roses. Cheap, fairly easy to raise.

Then they lower the boom.

At least you can brew Mino Hero's Brew in one location without having to run anywhere...*chuckles*

I feel your pain Cart. Got Vae to 200 brewing before I stopped (made like 7 out of 8 tainted ales no problem).

It is definitely a pain in the ass. But thank god cheap!

All the druids are busy making trains in LoY right now. They’ll return to their regularly scheduled annoyance in a few weeks.
