I used to, then I quit for a long time and was going to come out of retirement last summer, but I just couldn't get back into it.
During the 2 times I played last summer I was borrowing other peoples back-up guns. Usually a Tippman I think 98 custom? I forget the exact name.
I still had good aim but my friends just bored the fuck out of me. Like my first game back was 15 min capped, well the other team just hid the whole time so not one shot was fired, then the 2nd game one guys gun broke and the other decided he needed to pee so after 20 mins they called it off and no shots were fired, then it started to rain.
The next time was a tournament, my friends did poorly, they scored OK because one of thier opponents didn't show up and the other one was little kids. I was going to replace one of 2 people who noone could manage to contact to confirm they were coming, but they both showed...I had to sit in the parking lot in the woods for like 4 hours in the hot kentucky sun.
I managed to shoot some targets...cost me two full saturdays. I'm too busy for that shit...if I want to target practice I'll use a real gun.

Been a few years for me, but I used an ACI F4 Illustrator.
Pretty cheap for as reliable as that gun was. I spent about $400 total for the gun, ceramic lined barrel, expansion chamber, hopper w/ agitator, and some Venturi bolts. Playing in the Florida heat, I didn't notice much velocity drop-off from repetitive fire, so I never shelled out for nitrogen.

Anyone play stock class? or at least go pump? Cause I play with a Phantom VSC acid blue wash with clear parts and soon to be boomstick. I usually hold my own really well.
Anyone wanna share "war" stories?
My best story was a guy was running for a bunker at about 50-60 ft away. Under fire from one side, I slid out for a snap shot and gogged him, with my phantom of course. Prolly a lot of luck involved but it sure looked damn cool.

Played since 1988. Played national tournaments since 1994. Currently still using a low pressure Angel and a 1993 Autococker that was one of the first modded by Bob Long (since then I have modded it myself and shoots at 280 fps on about 300 psi
).
I think I have shot damn near every gun that was made before 2002 and have owned most of them at one time or another. I worked part time at a local paintball store and at one point had some sponsorships through National Paintball and a few others.
Played the 5 man NPPL series in 2001 and did pretty well, placing 6th in each tournament. Also had the chance to play in the Toronto Skydome in 2000. Took most of last year off, although I did play in 3 tourneys and actually came out ahead money-wise for the first time by placing in some decent prizes. Should be back this year for another run with the new NPPL series in the 10 man.

I've paintballed a few times, and it's always fun. That said, I don't get so into it that I buy my own stuff. I play with what they give me. At the place I've been to, the rentals are all standard-issue semis, with projectile speeds capped at 280 feet/sec.
If I lived closer to the local paintball range, or if I had the time on my hands, I'd probably buy my own equipment. If you're there all the time, it's much cheaper in the long run to bring your own guns.

Paintball-Tippmann 98 reversed 20 oz tank with flatline.
Airsoft-Tokyo Marui SR-16 with all kinds of shit, M-11, Glock 19c.
Whats the worst injury you've gotten from paintball?
I got a broken rib from someone shooting 350+ fps but I got him back with 350+ fps going through the mask and ripping his lips up

I have not personally had any real serious injuries. I have been present to see a couple ugly ones though. Had a teammate snap an ankle. Had one tournament where a guy fell and snapped an aluminum t-stock and it ran through his arm. That one was ugly but incredibly freakish. I have been knocked out 3 or 4 times in the old days, had a good scar for a while from one ball that took some skin off near my ear at a very close range. Nothing that would prevent me from playing
