Gods and Generals

Post by Rivera Bladestrike »

This movie is long as hell, good though, some good acting involved. This is the first movie I've ever seen that actually has an intermission, 3 hours and 40 minutes long. Also, this movie shows the true definition of zerging. Fredricksburg. I liked the movie, apparently its the first of 3 movies depicting the Civil War... if you do plan on seeing it, make sure you do it early, or it'll fill up your entire day.

Some how I got a subscription to Entertainment Weekly ( I never ordered it) and they have a movie review section in it where they rate movies on a grading scale (A-F). They get like 10 movie critics to grade the movie and then they average it out. This movie, according to them, only rated a C-.

Personally I don't believe in what they say. I judge a movie on it's merits and how I react to it when I watch. I'd love to see this movie. Thanks for the forwarning on how long it is.

Was pretty good. A little slow at times, but overall it was entertaining. The guy who played Stonewall Jackson did a great job.

I was comtemplating suicide by about half way through it was so dull. I think you have to be an American to appreciate the civil war. To an outsider it looks like a bunch of crazy people standing 20 feet away from each other and shooting each other down.

The acting was quite good but I think the material was weak. How many civil war movies are they going to make about basically the same thing?

They fought with retarded tactics, no doubt. But I guess your options are limited with guns that take a good 45 seconds to reload. (if you're fast)

Fix bitTorrent downloads, Kyou! :( I can't get either of the last two you've set up.. keep getting err0r!

"Gods and Generals" was longer then the Civil War itself. Take a sleeping pill instead...
