I hate when people recommend something and then get pissed at you if it doesn't work out for you, like you are personally insulting them by not being happy with their recommendation. Sheesh - phreaks.
Oh and I hate people who have to lick their fingers before handing you a piece of paper (or licking their fingers to open a bag) - GROSSSSSSS!

Depends on how the dissatisfaction and/or recommendation was brought up.
If you asked for a recommendation then ran back to them and told them thier recomendation sucked...then they have every right to be pissed. All they did was try and help you out and you don't appreciate it.
If they recomended the establishment to you without your asking...and then they asked how it went and you said it wasn't to your tastes, and then they get on your case...then you have the right to be pissed. Because they tried to change your patterns, it didn't work out, you were trying to be quiet about it but then when they drew it out they get angry..it's like your not allowed to have your own preferences or opinions.
I personally try and avoid giving recommendations, because everyone has different tastes...something I might like might not be the best for my friend and if it isn't, I definately don't want to hear about it.
I'm the type who will only recommend a place if someone mentions they are looking for a place, and I don't give it rave reviews, I say it's OK. If I ask someone for a recommendation on something (And I do ask all the time) if I don't like the place I don't mention it again unless they ask me, and then I try to minimize what I say about my experience as much as possible.
As for finger licking, I totally agree, it's gross....don't lick your god damn fingers and then pass me shit...oh and while were talking about it....don't double dip either.

Oh ok so the situation was that my friend at work had a housecleaner who she just recently had to let go because she was moving. I had previously mentioned I wanted a housecleaner but didn't want to hire one without having known someone who had used the services before because we had a housecleaner once when I was younger who turned out to be a thief! So my friend recommended I give hers a try as another co-worker of ours used her as well and she did good work. So I met with the lady last week and made arrangements for her to start today and I was so excited for a nice clean house...
AND SHE DIDN'T SHOW UP!! (nor did she call)
So I said I would give her one more hour until I left work and if she showed up and performed miracles before I got home then I would love her forever. But if she hadn't shown up by then without a call I doubted it would work out for me.
So now my friend is pissed off at me for not liking her housecleaner.
*sigh*
People suck.

Dog mouths are not as cleaned as you are led to believe. My wife recently got bit by a dog and it ended up geting infected with some bacterial thing (can't remember name). She was on two different antibiotics for a month and if she had waited a couple more days to go to the doctor, then the bacteria would of eaten into the bone and required surgery. It was quite scary for a while there. They had to renew her prescription twice for some really heavy duty antibiotics.
Now she carries pepper spray with her at all times. Not sure how it works against dogs but it can't hurt...unless there is a breeze.

would be good to talk to that housecleaner and find out exactly what happened, weird shit can happen to people including accidents, illnesses and stuff. Fact that he/she didn't call is a big turn off but like I said, maybe she couldn't
either way your friend needs to back off or you might need a new friend
