It was announced today that Canada
It was announced today that Canada is now prepared to help the U.S. in it's war against terrorism. They have promised to commit 2 of their largest battleships, 6000 armed troops and 600 fighter jets.
However, after the exchange rate, that comes down to a canoe, 2 Mounties and a flying squirrel.

Molson and Labatt are not "the good stuff." The good stuff comes from Belgium, Germany, and the Czech Republic. Some of it's even reasonably priced these days.Wulfran wrote:Well if thats not enough for you, then fuck off and be happy drinking your Miller-Lite-watered-down-piss beer!!! You have damned good taste. Orval is another great brew, and also made by Belgian trappist monks.Pahreyia wrote:
From the trappist monks at Scourmont Abbey, Belgium. Truly, the nectar of the gods.
Edit: Guinness is fine stuff, but I wouldn't rank it up there with the world's "best." It's the best affordable beer; I'll put it that way. And the Guinness you drink in Ireland is 10x better than the Guinness they export to the U.S.

"Canada is our leading supplier of imported natural gas, electricity and oil. All three flow across the border in both directions. The Canadian energy sector is harvesting the enormous potential of its heavy oil reserves, which are already on stream at close to 600,000 barrels per day and whose full potential anchors Canada as a pillar of North American energy security. World-scale oil and natural gas projects are also underway in Atlantic Canada, which is now the fastest growing source of natural gas, by pipeline, for New England. Canada's vast resources, market based energy policies, and our interconnected energy infrastructures, contribute significantly to U.S. energy security and to the shared economic health of our two nations."
