Oh btw - That apparently means BANNED now.
What the fuck is this? I log on today and I get this message, I contact a GM via chat and they tell me my mother fucking account is BANNED. Gone for good. Also, they tell me they cannot FUCKING TELL ME WHY MY ACCOUNT IS BANNED unless I email their shitty tech support and wait weeks for a response. I don't fucking hack, I don't rampantly train people, I don't swear or disrespect GM's - What the fuck is wrong with this game? To sum it up - I am banned OUT OF THE BLUE and they're not telling me why.

Fuck you everquest.

btw - you can't resolve account issues over the phone anymore.

It is very likely the reason you were "BANNED" was because your credit card was unable to be charged.

When this happens you get the pleasure of seeing "BANNED" rather then "Im sorry, but we were unable to process your payment of $XX.XX. PLease contact our Billing Department for further information."

Dont piss your pants yet man :) Its likely a simple billing issue.

I know of one other person similarly banned for no good reason. After e-mailing Customer Support he was told they detected he was using some game hack. Sony never did reinstate his account. He created a brand new rogue on another account and levelled him to 65.

It's like getting pulled over by the cops. Right or wrong doesn't matter, you kiss their ass and play by their rules.

It sucks that Sony can make an arbitrary decision that essentially wipes out thousands of hours of your life. If this happened to my account I know I'd never give Sony another dime if I could help it.

This happened to a friend of mine Drew...apparently you need to spend 4 hours on the phone crying and pleading until they realize they fucked up and let you talk to someone in game. Since your account is banned you need to do this through someone else's account, which in itself can get you in even more trouble if youre caught. Lucky for her, her brother had an account. Very not cool everquest. Good luck

I been talking to GM's for the last hour or so on a friend's account and it's been confirmed that this is *NOT* a billing issue.

The account is not suspended - it's BANNED.

Dunno how this will work out - waiting on word from an actual GM (<3 guides though)

Something like 'They could see invis GMs because they had Show EQ'

Actually Xaem - that's exactly what I think happened. 3 Days before I was mysteriously banned I was talking to a GM..and I said something like "Too bad they could still tell you were here thanks to showEQ" (The GM was watching SoL fuckers invis)...and the GM said "It doesn't work anymore" and i'm like "Umm...Yeah it does" and I'm thinking he misinterpreted that as "Yes, I use ShowEQ" (Which I don't)

Oh yeah - I don't use showEQ or anything like that. The only thing I used that *might* be considered 3rd party is the gamepad I have for archery...but I doubt that's it because they have no way of detecting it, and really - who the fuck would ban me for that?

If a GM can convince a lead GM that you are using a third party program with some "proof" then you can get banned for it. The only criteria for getting banned is convincing a lead that you did something wrong.
