I work from home so I usually make my lunch here. So were going to go with Kroger's deli counter....because that's where I buy my lunch meat heh. I try and stick to turkey because it has less fat then ham etc...and roast beef was ruined for me when Scrimps mentoned it smelled like wet dog...
This should be a poll though....4 polls actually..

It gets hard to classify them, and it's hard to list them all my list is definately not complete even if you were only listing national chains.
Things like chinese food usually arent chains...
And then you have more expensive restaraunts like Benihana's (although I can't remember thier lunch menu prices, I only ate lunch there once, it's too far away to do in an hour)
If you leave the poll as is now though likely your going to get Wendy's or Subway as the answer...
Wendy's has a wide variety.....
Subway is where people can eat everyday and survive to come back next week.
Because burker king, McDonalds, Taco bell...most of these places sell one thing....a burger and fries, or just tacos....sure BK added tacos I think....but they cost 3x as much as taco bell and I hear they aren't that good....and your still gonna end up with fries. Wendy's has like baked potato's, chili, etc...
Or actually the most common answer will probably be "school cafeteria" because the demographics for this game has a large player base between 16-22 so high school and college.

I can't imagine getting pizza any place other than a local pizza joint. Jeez, why bother going with a chain when there's real pizza being made on nearly every corner in america.Pilsburry wrote: Pizza

Bleh, again I'm with the local establishments. Only chain we consider going to is Charlie Brown's because their prime rib is terrific. Shit, look at me, I'm elitistDine-In

I eat off a lunch truck twice a week or so. It isnt one of those premade sandwich type ones. They have a grill in the back and cook up burritos, patty melts, omlettes, burgers, chili dogs, etc.
I also hit the sandwich places as well. Some days, I end up just skipping lunch depending on the work load.

I'm not sure how many of you guys have a Jimmy John's anywhere near, but I would suggest it over Subway. It's not really the same line though, all their subs are cold and actually have enough meat on them that you can taste it.
Of course, if you've worked there for the past 4 years it gets really nasty.

For burgers, nothing beats In-n-out Burger. Thats one of the big things I miss since moving to rochester NY from south bay california. Chik-Fil-A was damned good too. Here we have Wendys, McDonalds and BK. When i'm gettin fast food I usually go for the BK Chicken Whopper, quality sandwich.

Hear near the AFB, we have a wide selection of places to eat. I have to agree with Vetiria and say that Jimmy John's is pretty good (we have one in a nearby mall).
Usually we hit Subway's, Penn Station or similar sandwichy shop, but on rare occasion we go to the very aptly named "Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers." It approaches the "dive" atmosphere, but the food is excellent and pretty cheap too.

Heh. A few years back, when the whole "animal style" bit was becoming widely known, In 'N Out started charging extra for giving a Double Double the "animal" treatement. But for those in the know (and I knew because my friend's kid brother worked there), you would refer to animal style by the slang term "beast." So if you ordered a Double Double and told them to "make it a beast," they'd throw on an extra patty and sauce for free. They don't do it anymore, but it was fun when they did.emmer wrote:Have you ever had a double double..... ANIMAL STYLE?!Millie wrote:Fast food sucks, but In 'N Out is the least of those evils
As long as I can remember, animal style has meant that they fry the burger in mustard, grill the onions instead of putting them on raw and add animal sauce... and it's always been free. Animal style fries are amazing too.
4x4's are damn good too but usually detonate all over my cardboard box within 2 and a half bites

Weird. Where do you live? In my neck of the woods, Animal Style means grilling the onions, adding an extra patty, and using Animal sauce instead of Thousand Island. And they do charge for it here. I believe it's $.25 extra, or something like that.emmer wrote:As long as I can remember, animal style has meant that they fry the burger in mustard, grill the onions instead of putting them on raw and add animal sauce... and it's always been free.
