Arguably, the bad guy always wins.

It just depends upon your perspective. ;)

Ravenloft - it's a dark fantasy world (they call it horror, I don't agree) where almost everyone's a bad guy, it just depends who's... um... badder! Anyway, it's a world tied in loosely with Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms, though there's not many crossover characters, but they do have a gold elven vampire from Realms and Lord Soth from Dragonlance.

Anyway, overall I think some of the stuff's good. I enjoy the Azalin books, some of the stuff is cheesy though. 8-)

You may get more on-topic posts if you post under the "Adventures in Reading" forum. I think there are a couple good threads on good fantasy novels in there already.

Tigiana. Having said that - I interpretted your question a bit differently than just what you wrote. If you meant you wanted a fantasy novel with characters the easily fit into the stereotypical good guy/bad guy but where the bad guy wins in the end - I don't know of one. Tigiana has two sides and one side wins and neither clearly fit inside good or bad.
