5 New LoY zones

Post by Soriathus Serpentine »

I mean yeah it's part of the story line. Yeah it's new zones. Yeah the rest of the expantion is definitely cool and can't wai for everything else, but the new zones?!?!? Give me a break. They ALL have the same feel. Trolls, trolls, and more trolls. If I k33l em do I get Gukta faction?!? Oh and maybe some dark elves and a_random_new_mob. Though there is that cool caster race that helped the broken skull clan invade grobb. Screenshot on the website. Other than that it seems like a real waste of development time. /yawn

Or you could actually... y'know... PLAY the expansion before making a judgement. Not like we're all not going to buy it anyway.

Personally, I think those screenshots look fucking awesome.

I don't see any problems. If I bitched about every patch and expansion, I would have quit long ago. Focus on the good, not the bad, it really is much more rewarding.

The bottom line is, it doesn't matter if you like it or if you don't. Shadows of Luclin minus the Bazaar and Ssra is a GIANT piece of crap, and people still exp in those zones all the time.

If your friends are exp'ing there, and there is loot and exp to be had, you'll be there.

Besides all the zones looking a little dark, they seem ok.

I'm selling my horse for a few more HPs on this charm!

Hopefully the lava will make a cool "splash" animation when the Rogues fall in.

Anyone else notice that some Rogues concentrate so hard on being positioned perfectly behind a mob that they are completely oblivious to everything else around them...including the fact that they are about to fall off a cliff or aggro a dragon? Those damned Rogues. You know, sometimes...

Oh yeah, another expansion...cool.

Simple solution. Stop hanging out with rogues that suck.

I think the pics are rather good IMO, and can't wait to actually play in the new zones. This "extension" is one of the reasons I went AA over leveling after 61.

No <3 for the rogues. :(

Were those actual screenshots or just artwork? I'm gonna like it I think, just wish is wasn't tailored to level 60 and below tho.

Hey, I am quite aware of my surroundings, and have never aggro'd a mob or fallen from a cliff into a pool of lava in such a scenario detailed, thank you.
Now, if I forget to hide/sneak before I go out scouting, THAT is another story ;)

I dunno, I guess maybe the undead pirate ship is kinda cool, but 5 zones? Maybe they are just showing 5 OF the zones they are adding. Maybe they are adding more than that and now telling us or grouping zones together. Like for example the temple is 3 zones and the mines are really 2 zones. The screenshots IMO just seem bland, maybe you guys are seeing something I'm not, maybe I need to adjust the gama on my monitor. They seem dark and lacking in content. I will reserve final jugement for the release, the game always looks better than SoE's lame screenshots. I think the exansion as a whole is gonna be awesome, these screenshots just aren't doin it for me.

DAMN work LCD flatscreen monitor. It helps when you're contrast isn't at 35% and brightness at 50%. Ok I take MOST of it back. I still think the mines still look completely boring (again accourding to the screenie), but these 2 guys I'm loking forward to seeing go down. Also again, thinking the pirate ships is gonna be fun. And I guess it's kinda cool that the trolls get a new town saying that their old one was swallowed up by the frogs.

Rogues that don't suck? Is that gonna be a new class in the expansion?

Nah, I'm j/k. I have much <3 for the Rogues. Just enjoy giving them a hard time because some of them make me do extra crowd control, which can screw up my neatly sorted columns in Gems and cause me to only get to wave 10 or so. Bastards.

That and they are always whining for Haste while I'm watching Joe Millionaire or something.

I bet The Quon would put a stop to that shit FAST!

Level 61, not even flagged tier 2, with very little interest in grinding exp in the outdoor(yuck) set of zones that comprise what little I'd be able to access in PoP :P

Hopefully some Seb/Chardok/HS-like content, otherwise I'll keep on with AA and my misc twinkies :)

Damnit, I knew those images looked too good to be actual screenshots, but for some reason I got my hopes up :(

Curious about what new lands await? Check out these stunning illustrations and enticing information on the new Broken Skull Rock zones you'll experience in The Legacy of Ykesha.

Looking through what they have available, it seems promising to me. The 60+ crowd might be SoL, except for the last two zones mentioned.

If there's no safe/easy access through the troll town, it will likely stay deserted. People will stay the same safe outdoor zones they have now rather than do anything interesting.

A good rogue has as many hp as the ranger that trained the group, thus can take a hit or two before scrambling for the zone.

When I played Rogue, I 0wn'd people.

I had some 13/27 with 2 disease dmg piercer (Fungusbeast Spine). When they bugged the elemental and bane dmgs for a day, I was like OMFG I LOVE THIS PATCH. Basically I was able to perform backstabs in the 600's when he was level 27. T'was a great day :)

Nah I owned as a rogue. Only adds I ever got was the standard shit that comes along and doesn't get FD'd off. I was a great puller in the OT...and a tank for the most part too. Yeah I was a bit out of my role but I was almost as good as most warriors. /good twink :)
