Fuck Landlords

Post by Aslanna »

Everyone says to rent rather than buy so you have more freedom but renting comes with it's own downsides. Over the past 2 years my rent has gone up 65%. There ought to be a law. I know some states have rent increase laws but Ohio doesn't. So now it's time to look for a new place to rent (fuck apartments) in a fun housing market.

I was expecting it to go up again, because I think property tax rates did increase, but 35% is just greedy.

And of course I only have 6 weeks to find something and get fully moved. If I do end up staying here I'll definitely be researching a house to buy so I can gtfo. It sucks being at the whim of someone who can charge whatever they want.

I hate moving.

I don't know how it is where you live but in Arizona it's the same situation. We have all the Californians fleeing from the craziness of liberal taxes (not just the billionaires). Phoenix metro area can't make enough houses for demand and the California refugees buy them all up at the high prices because they are still cheaper than the insane state costs in California. Both renting or buying, the prices are skyrocketing.

California is the most democratic state in the nation but somehow I'm sure it's Trump's fault. It's never the left's fault because they think clean energy is the answer (even though it pollutes more then oil when you break it down)push all these regulations for clean energy and tax everything. Oh no, that's not the problem. California has oil but it's too expensive now and too many regulations to drill for it so California buys their oil from the middle east (out of sight, out of mind).

What's happening in California is the same thing you saw after the fall of the Shaw in Iran in the 80's. All the intelligent/wealthy people are leaving as fast as they can. The welfare bums remain but with no one to tax to get their handouts from.

In some ways, Californians are worse than illegal immigrants crossing state border to ruin other US citizen's lives.
More people are fleeing California than any other state — as Golden Staters pack up and head to places like Texas and Florida, according to a new U-Haul analysis.

Nine out of 10 worst states for growth are run by Democrat governors while seven went blue in the last presidential election, according to U-Haul.

Meanwhile, seven of the top 10 growth states are run by Republican governors and nine went red in the 2024 presidential election, the analysis said. The top five states for growth were Texas, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and South Carolina, according to U-Haul.
The statistics speak for themselves.

Landlords are parasites who make their living off the backs of working-class people.
For the oppressed, peace is the absence of oppression, but for the oppressor, peace is the absence of resistance.
