I turn my Xbox on every couple of months to do updates, then immediately realize how much I hate the interface, check the free games which I almost never feel compelled to download, and shut it back off.

The thing about 4K Blu Ray is that most people don't buy them; there's a reason why physical media sections in electronics stores are a shadow of their former selves. Add to that, I imagine including the drive will be a contributing factor to Scorpio being more expensive than the PS4 Pro (I'm willing to bet it will be), I can understand why Sony would choose to omit it. This is almost moot anyhow because most people don't even have a 4K TV. Just like your average person would rather have the convenience of streaming music rather than buying a CD, even though the quality is worse, I imagine the same is true for movies; I know it is for me (with rare exception).

The thing about the play anywhere for the Xbox, particularly in conjunction with Scorpio is this: why bother with a console that will probably be somewhere in the neighborhood of $499, when you can just use a PC and get all the same games and other online features as on Xbox? Your average gamer isn't going to buy the $500 dollar console anymore than they're going to buy a $1500 PC, so you're marketing to people that are hardcore gamers and/or have a large disposable income, which is exactly the crowd that is more likely to go the PC route.

So in bridging the gap between consoles and PC's with both hardware and software (I'm not saying this is a bad thing for gamers) they're giving Sony an opportunity to get even more ground in a market they've already got cornered.

With all the server issues that games have on both consoles, I don't know that cross platform multiplayer is something I want before they thoroughly test it, and then test it again.

The same reason Electonics stores are a shadow of themselves in general: Amazon.com

People don't buy stuff at stores anymore, even physical media is purchased via Amazon (or newegg, etc).

Now, I plan on downloading 100 GB files of a few of my favorite movies. Not many. I don't collect movies in general. The rest I'll probably settle for 20 GB versions which still look really good (Blu-Ray quality).

I hate physical media. My point with 4K Blu-Ray (and even 1080P Blu-Ray) is that it actually is clearly better than streaming HD content. I was on board with digital downloads way before you people got on board (now that Sony isn't offering the 4K Blu-Ray I guess it's the cool thing to do)

I remember when 799mb movies where good enough. 1.5GB movies are "watchable". 2.5-4GB movie files are now very good for normal viewing. I go by file size because I don't pay attention to the bitrate/resolution most of the time.

When people initially started scanning comics. The average comic was about 4MB in size, ~22 jpegs. Now the average comic is 35-40mb in size and those original scans had to be rescanned. Higher Res monitors and faster bandwidth allow for that.

20GB isn't significant for me anymore with 300Mbs. Takes about 10 minutes. 100GB is still significant but probably won't be in a few years. 100 GB is still less than an hour for me but it's not instant gratification level. I don't think most people get 2,000 GB (2 TB) monthly data caps like my plan though so even if you have the time, you may not have the cap to download high quality video.

While 4K streaming isn't going to use 100 GB because you're getting poorer quality/compression, it will eat a big chunk of your monthy bandwidth if you binge watch shows and have the more standard 200-400GB caps. 4K Blu-Ray ordered for free next day delivery via Amazon Prime is still something a lot of people would take advantage of if they actually has a 4K Blu-Ray player once they get a 4K TV.

Anyway you slice it, it was a bad move on Sony's part. 4K Blu-Ray can't possibly cost that much more than standard Blu-Ray if Microsoft could swing it in their cheap $299 (non "Pro") console. Sony either 1, just plain fucked up or 2, wanted to increase sales of their own more expensive 4K Blu-Ray players so intentionally left it out of their console for that reason.
After months of leaks, rumors and YouTube unboxing videos of consoles that hadn't even been announced yet, Sony finally made us privy to the future of PlayStation this week. On November 10, the PS4 Pro will come out, sporting enhanced graphical capabilities and support for 4K and HDR-enabled TVs.

But the past week hasn't been entirely positive for PlayStation. For the first time since the PS4 launched in 2013, it's starting to really seem like the resurgent Xbox One might soon be the better option for would-be console owners. Here's why:
Sony's master plan for the PlayStation is looking more flawed by the day - Business Insider

Sony sold more than 6.2 million PlayStation 4 consoles during the holiday season, the company said in a release today. That figure brings cumulative global PS4 sales to more than 53.4 million units sold through to consumers, Sony said.
Yeah. I'm sure they are really worried about "slipping". Whatever that even means.
On the software side, Sony boasted that more than 50.4 million PS4 games, both at retail and digitally, were sold during the same holiday period. One of those games, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, had sold more than 8.7 million copies as of Dec. 21.
8.7 million! I wonder how Tomb Raider did.

As a fan of both those games, Uncharted 4 was far better than the newer tomb raider. Both fun, but Uncharted was more fun.

I still find it interesting Sony (blu ray pimps) didn't include a HD Blu Ray player in their "pro" console while non pimp of Blu Ray Microsoft managed to have one in their budget Xbox One S

Nice sales figures but when you go to a nice restaurant do you wonder how many meals they sell compared to McDonalds or do you enjoy the better tasting food you're eating? Same goes for how you eat it. Is it more enjoyable to eat your food with utensils that make it easy to do so or eat with utensils that give you crab hands after the meal?

I've been playing a lot of Overwatch lately. For FPS games, I really prefer using mouse and Logitech G13 gamepad to any kind of console controller. There's no way I could move and aim as fast as I do while using a game controller. Same goes for flying games like War Thunder.

For non competitive FPS games like Mass Effect, console controllers (with modern layout designed for fps/3D as opposed to still being tuned to directional pad 2D games) work great.

For consoles, Sony would win me over if they made a few key changes but any console still takes a back seat to the PC. It seems Sony will be stuck with the outdated controller and underpowered 4K "pro" console, and low powered/res PSVR for several years to come though.

People seem to think Playstation has a better UI than Xbox. Maybe, but the way I see it, both dinner plates have apple sauce with some important differences. With Live, you may need to knock a few extra peas out of the way to get to the apple sauce but when you get there you don't have to eat that apple sauce using chopsticks like on PSN.

I'm not surprised that you try to apply your moronic logic to something as subjective as that with a retarded analogy, but I wish I were. I'll take PSN any day over Xbox Live, the last time I had to enter a code on Xbox Live it literally took me ten minutes to find the fucking option. The Playstation UI is straight forward with no tiles and fucking ads and shit plastered all over - if Xbox would ditch the Windows 10 dog shit look it's got going on and go back to more like it was on the 360, it might be a contest.

That's the peas you're talking about!

Apple sauce? wtf? You suck at analogies.

Use what you like. Why does it have to be one is better than the other? Seriously, grow up already. I know it's fun to try and troll people but it gets old after awhile.

Personally I HATE the Xbox UI ever since the NXE. It only got worse the more it morphed towards Windows 8/10. I won't say one is better than the other... Just that I prefer one over the other.

PSN also kills XBL when it comes to ads not being shoved down your throat. Sure you'll see something Sony related once in awhile but I've never seen shit like Doritos or Axe Body Spray (is that still a thing?) autoplaying at volume level 11.

Summary: Keep your trolling to the XBO thread. Especially since you made yourself look like a dumbo after the last attempt.

Both UIs suck. Awhile back I wanted to see how much time I had left on my PSN+, I ended up googling how because it's buried three layers deep. Guess they really want those auto-renewals. I felt like I was in a casino with no clocks.

Yes, I know Xbox is/was the absolute worse as you couldn't cancel Live unless you actually called them. Not sure if that's still true but I posted here long time ago about having to basically hack my way out of my Live sub without having to call by changing my billing address on file to somewhere in Chicago I think, which must have a law preventing that kind of bullshit.

Can't we all just agree that the Xbox controller is better and move on? Or at least that the joystick placement on the PS controller is not ideal for the primary games played over the past decade? (FPS games). It's pretty much denial of accepting this that causes me to not take anything said here seriously. (And I acknolwedge that the original Xbox One controller bumpers were functional but cheap hard noisy plastic. No need to get into the laundry list of other things about the controllers. Admit this and this forum might have a new glasnost era for the next 15 years or so until another Putin comes along.

Why would we agree on something that isn't the case? It's personal preference so you can't even say one is better than the other. I have an xbox controller that I can use on my PC. I prefer to use DS4. So no.. I am not going to agree to your subjective nonsense.

As far as another Putin goes... We goes Trump so hey, same thing.

Developer: XBox Scorpio Is A 'Full Blown Next-Gen Machine,' Unlike PS4 Pro

Here's what Xbox exclusive Ori and the Bind Forest developer Thomas Mahler has to say:

"Scorpio isn't just a half-assed upgrade (which the PS4 Pro kinda is...), but a full blown next-gen machine that's just backwards-compatible to your current library."

They didn't bill the PS4 "Pro" as a half-assed upgrade either. What's your point?

The biggest cost to Sony for the "Pro" is probably the plastic required for that extra third layer on the console.

The redesigned Xbox One with HD Blu Ray is a very nice update for same or less price than the old Xbox One. Sony shouldn't have used the word "pro" on a half-assed weak sauce update that lacks features the budget Xbox One S has.

When you see words like "elite" from Microsoft, it's on things like their controller that are clearly better than the standard.

And what a scam this is from Sony:

PlayStation is still getting away with 'minimum funding' charges
Sony continues to embrace an anti-consumer practice that even Nintendo gave up.

It's a valid question. If you only like to see things through rose colored glasses, a Sony sponsored forum is probably the best one to visit. Likewise for any other topic discussed on VV.

Want state run moderated info? Go to the product's official website. Want some differing opinions? Try Reddit (for the most part, some of those are highly moderated as well). I lean toward reddit where I can get all the input I can and have what seems like a super human ability to ignore/filter the noise.

Treat the console wars like religious or political discussions. Some people are stuck in their ways and will use outdated controllers forever, similar to religious folk that keep believing in whack shit no matter what science throws at them.

The PS4 will support external hard drives in upcoming update

Sony showed off a preview of the next software update for the PlayStation 4 today, which adds a long-awaited feature to the console: external hard drive support. While Xbox One owners have been able to do this for ages, the only way for owners to expand storage for a PS4 has been to replace the internal drive. To be fair, Sony has tried to make simple as possible to replace the internal storage, but it was still a fairly involved process that required physically unscrewing the drive, reinstalling the system software, and then copying over all your data.

But in the upcoming 4.50 software, Sony is finally adding the ability to simply plug in a USB 3.0 hard drive to instantly get more space, and will support hard drives up to 8TB. Content installed on the external drive will show up in the PlayStation 4 software alongside anything on the internal drive.

Also getting added in the update are a few more minute features, including custom wallpapers, more simplified notifications, and support to view 3D Blu-rays in virtual reality using a PlayStation VR.

The update is rolling out today to users who are signed up for the PS4 beta program, but Sony has yet to announced when it will see a final release for all users.
Finally. Now you can add 4 TB for like $100

Nice! I just bought a pro and was teetering about whether to upgrade the hard drive to an SSHD and go through the process of re downloading everything again - I'll just wait for this and get the best external I can find.

I got a code for 4.50 beta but probably wont mess with it. I haven't turned on my PS4 (or any console) since the end of Oct. Need to get the Pro working (haven't messed with configuring the headset) by the 28th so that I can play Horizon! I also never ran out of space on the 500GB PS4 so doubt I will fill up 1TB anytime soon.
Sony’s next major PlayStation 4 firmware includes a new system setting, Boost Mode, that enables the PlayStation 4 Pro to deliver better performance for games that don’t explicitly support the beefier console.

Reports of the feature arrived today from PS4 owners who are testing a beta of the upcoming system software update, version 4.50.

Some more info on BOOST MODE.

Maybe it will make Just Cause 3 playable. I heard it had a lot of performance issues (on PS4 and XBO) that Avalanche never fixed which is why I never bought it even it was on a flash sale for cheap cheap.

As Winnow loves Forbes so much I'm surprised he hasn't posted this
The Exclusive Gap Between PS4 And Xbox One Has Become A Canyon

Sony has just been hammering Microsoft at every turn when it comes to exclusive games, and they don’t show signs of stopping any time soon.
Cant stop wont stop!
On top of all of this, Microsoft no longer really gives people a reason to own an Xbox One. Even if its exclusive line-up is less expansive than Sony’s, thanks to its new “Play Anywhere” policy, all you need to play any Microsoft exclusive is a PC. The company itself has created a situation where if you own a PS4, a PC and maybe some Nintendo hardware, that’s everything you need. Through its own decision-making, it has made the Xbox One essentially redundant.
Microsoft should get out of the console hardware business as they are serving no purpose.

Of course someone here will go back to bleating about "Scorpio" over and over. That means zero if it just means another Halo or Gears of War sequel looking a bit better.

So Sony forcing exclusive console games down your throat while Microsoft gives you the option to play them on PC for no additional fee is a bad thing for consumers? Gotcha!

Sony = artificial exclusivity to consoles. Pretty lame actually. It's not like even a medium powered gaming PC doesn't blow away a PS4 "pro", but you have to play it on the weaker system anyway instead of go fucking nuts with the resolution and quality with Xbox/PC games.

Amazing the thought process when it comes to this stuff! Not surprising considering how idiotic the mob was when it came to digital downloads with zero foresight to look a few months into the future. Microsoft gets my money for at least trying to push the massive blob of apathy toward the future.

Yep. Sony makes consoles for a reason: Selling them and making money. It seems to be working based on the ~55 million PS4s they've sold. Sorry if that offends you! You were all about "Exclusive console games" before XBO games made their way over to PC. You're such a hypocrite.

That would be the worst outcome ever. Sony is already cheaping out on things like their "Pro" model, with just enough juice to make it look a little better than their Slim but taking away things like Blu Ray HD that the dirt cheap Xbox One S has. They already have the worst VR and it would be even worse if they weren't worried about competition. Xbox pushed the ancient PS2 that might still be around today if not for competition. Xbox 360 allowed for great online gaming while Sony fucked around with honeycomb and Foreman grill looking consoles and clueless online/security. PS4 turned the tables but it looks like that ended with the ass Pro release and weak VR.

No Microsoft = Nintendo level backwards ass tech for Playstations and probably 70-80.00 games.

Sony having console dominance doesn't make for better games, it makes for a Walmart environment. You sell your games there because you have to for the volume, not for the innovation.

Sony knows how to market their products. They have fancy commercials and big orchestras to dazzle you. Nothing wrong with that. As you said, they want to sell and they know how to sell.

I haven't taken the time to post them but I'm seeing multiple "PSN down again" articles on gaming/tech sites over the past several weeks. I see you don't mention them either.

--------------------

Side note. Seriously, why are you using a console anyway? I enjoy debating the console war but rarely use them. The rare rare exclusive is all I use the PS4/Xbox One for. A decent PC is so much better for gaming and most games support console controllers these days. For those of us that have powerful PCs, it's not even close.

The way I see it, consoles are there for simplicity. I get that. You compromise power for that. Scorpio looks to be the closest thing to a PC yet while remaining the relatively simple console setup. With Microsoft's scaling strategy you get the same game on Xbox One s, Xbox, Scorpio or PC, while with Playstation your ceiling is somewhere below what the Scorpio will be. Same with VR, with Playstation you have a joke toy VR setup with archaic tracking that doesn't do much more than induce vomiting. Scorpio/PC gives you much more flexibility and options.

Playstation is great for the Walmart crowd. The secret sauce Sony provides is making you think your Walmart environment is something similar to Apple's. When you wade through the bullshit, you see the high end console is better served with things like Microsoft's Elite Controller which is deserving of the name unlike the "Pro" PS4. That elite controller can also be used on the PC making the best controller also best for all formats.

You know that quote about insanity being when you do the same thing repeatedly and expect different results? Yeah, that.

Not true. It works for Apple. There was an article recently about how Apple presenters (starting back with Steve jobs) constantly repeat certain words and phrases like "Amazing", "We are excited", "We think you're really going to like" etc and it has been proven to psychologically work to influence opinions.

Of course it's not surprising that nobody knows what the fuck you are talking about because you never make any goddamn sense.

So the PS4 is 50$ off with Uncharted 4 tomorrow at Best Buy and I was doing some research to see if it would be worthwhile for me to pick up for exclusives and a few games that are our now.

http://gematsu.com/exclusives/ps4/ is a great site btw..

At the moment, the stuff I have genuine interest in is as follows.
Uncharted 4 (Pack-in with the console)
Horizon:Zero Dawn
Persona 5
Gravity Rush 2
Last of Us Remastered (Is this really just a zombie game with a half-decent story?)

What I found out in the interim is that 2 games that I really wanted to try, Nier Automata and Ni No Kuni 2 are on the PC for the former and coming day and date for the latter.

Am I missing anything? Killzone I never liked. I find it inferior to both Gears and Halo offer as far as mechanics and general story goes. Driveclub was a flop, Knack seemed find of meh and The Order was apparently horrible and The Last Guardian apparently controlled like a pig and generally wasn't very good according to the few gaming podcasts I listed to.

Am I missing anything?

One thing: Do you need an optical digital output? If so then you don't want the 'base' PS4 they now sell. You'd want to get the Pro or find one of the original models.

As far as The Order 1886 being "apparently horrible" I don't think that is the case. It has a 63 on Metracritic but I don't think that equates to "horrible." Besides you can find it cheap these days. I got it for $9 but haven't gotten around to playing it. I seriously doubt it will be so bad I will regret spending $9 on it. However I also wouldn't cite it as a must-have exclusive in deciding on whether to buy the console or not. Honestly these days I don't think any exclusives are worth specifically buying a console for but I may be in the minority on that.

The Last of Us I haven't played yet either. Some people really like it.. Others really hate it. Your mileage may vary but it also can be found for $20 or less rather frequently.

DriveClub I hear has improved a lot since it released. I saw it for $15 at the store today but passed. I tried the PS+ version and it didn't really resonate with me. Until another Burnout Paradise game comes out, which will probably be never, I think I'm done with racing games.

I plan on picking up Last Guardian when it's $20 or less despite the mixed reviews (Although an 82 on Metacritic is actually pretty good). Most people still said it was worth playing despite the control/camera issues.

Knack.. This is the butt of many jokes on podcasts i listen to. This game was a disappointment but I don't think it's "bad" per-se. The difficulty is stupid hard further in the game even on the Easy setting or whatever they have. Also the levels go on way longer than they need to. To be honest I am surprised this never went free on PS+. Knack 2 is coming and will have local co-op if that's something that interests you!

As far as exclusives go, PlayStation is going to have a lot more than XBO when all is said and done (if it doesn't have already). Microsoft just lost Remedy as an exclusive third party developer!
Alan Wake and Quantum Break studio Remedy Entertainment is planning to put its next game “on a wider range of platforms,” including PS4, according to a company post. This is a shift. Since 2010, Remedy’s big games have only hit PC and Xbox consoles. The most recent Remedy game on a PlayStation was 2003's Max Payne 2.
I mean they can blame poor Quantum Break sales on the relatively low number of XBO's out there but I just don't think the game was that appealing to most people. I doubt it would have sold that much better if it had also launched on PS4.

Other than that it's hard to recommend stuff since we don't know what you like. PS4 has all sorts of other exclusives like Yakuza, Nioh, and Bloodborne (also saw for $15 today) to name a few.

If in no rush I'd probably suggest waiting until the holidays. There will be even more exclusive and the ones that already came out will be cheaper. Although then you'll probably be spending all that money on a Scorpio. But if you have a PC why bother!

Nah.. Already have the One and no 4K TV. The Scorpio would be a waste really. Xmas might be a Switch for the kids if they throw a pack in that isn't Zelda and the fix the little deficiencies with the hardware

I'll chime in that I really liked the Last Guardian. Most of the complaints about this game were frustration with controls/responsiveness of Trico, and they all seemed to be missing the point - which is that this was intentional. Trico gets more responsive to you as he gets more used to you (and I guess there are even bigger differences in NG+). If you like the idea of a platformer/adventure type game that really goes for your emotions, then I'd definitely pick it up - especially because like Aslanna said; you can find it cheap often.

Also like Aslanna said, there are other exclusive games as well, it just kinda depends on what you're looking for. Nioh was another one that I liked a lot - personally, if I didn't already have one I'd buy a PS4 just for Persona 5.

This has more to do with 4K than Scorpio but just because you don't have a 4K TV yet doesn't mean you won't relatively soon. They will be as cheap as standard HD screens by the holidays. 4K has been awesome for me on the PC. It may be the case that you would have to spend a lot of money to upgrade your current PC to 4K but the Scorpio will be ready to go in 4K. It will also make all of your games going back to the 360 look and play better as well.

On a side note, Persona 5 is basically a PS3 game but even with a game like that, it looks stupendous on my 4K screen using an original Day One PS4. That may be a mix between the high quality Samsung screen I have along with the 4K as the blacks/colors/etc are also amazing to go along with the higher res. No matter what 4K screen you get though, the consoles (Sony or Microsoft) upconvert resolutions well.

As for PS4 games, Horizon is pretty good although I found the story and facial animations lacking. Persona 5 is really good (if you like JRPGS), Uncharted is basically just Tomb Raider and I think Rise of the Tomb Raider has a better story. If you liked the original Red Dead, Scorpio will be the platform to get Red Dead Redemption 2 next holiday. It will be the new benchmark for console games and will take advantage of the power Scorpio provides and unfortunately won't be available on PC at least at release.

I'd give the nod to PS4 > Xbox One up to this point but things change every few years in the console world. Xbox/Live was the place to be the previous generation and Microsoft seems pretty focused on producing a solid/powerful product this time. The only knock on Xbox 360 was the build quality of the original unit but they got that under control with later releases and also in the Xbox One generation.

I have to mention this because it's still a major annoyance. PS4 controller batteries just don't last long enough. I'd much rather swap out rechargeable AAs once every month or so (.08 cents a year for the power) than have to deal with plugging in a mini USB into my controller halfway through my play session. Will have to see what Scorpio controller uses for a battery.

One thing to note. You can, or will be able to soon, stream PS3/4 games to your PC without owning a Playstation at all. Combine that with Microsoft providing both versions (Xbox/PC) of a game for no additional charge and a Scorpio/PC combination with a 4K screen makes the most sense to me. (especially if you don't get a 4K screen because the stream quality won't matter anyway then). Technically, it would be possible to stream PS4 games to the Scorpio because it's window OS based but I doubt Microsoft/Sony will allow that...well Sony has no say, so it would be up to Microsoft so maybe they will at some point.

When it comes down to it there are very few PS4 exclusives that are noteworthy. The only one I would miss would be Persona 5 and that would be a game that wouldn't suffer at all from streaming it.

Picked it up and set it up last night.

Ran into some difficulty during the setup however. Setup my WiFi and connected to Internet. It detected an update to 4.55. Not sure where I was out of the box but installed it. The 340MB update took about 45 minutes to download. It would download amounts in quick bursts and then stall for no reason but I got though it.

Then when it came back I attempted to sign in to PSN and it would keep giving me random errors. PSN maintenance and other random stuff. Tried power-cycling my internet and the PS4 and nothing was working. Quick check over on Twitter and no issues were happening with the PSN either... Odd.

Ended up having to Factory Reset the PS4 and then re-do the initialization with 4.55 and that fixed it right up. Download speeds were normal too. Downloaded the 12GB Uncharted patch in about 30-45 minutes and everything appears to work great.

My first impressions:

IU: A step up from the Vita. Immediately, I prefer the Xbox One but this is most likely a factor of what I'm used to. The OnScreen Keyboard is atrocious. Loadtimes and fetch times from the Internet seem to be on par with the current Xbox One Dashboard. I find it interesting that they collapse video services automatically but nothing else. Sony puts a lot of shit on the dashboard. A ton of services I'll never use are there and there's no way to remove any of the icons. I created a folder to hide all of that stuff away at least. Ironically up here in Canada there's a default shortcut to Shomi on the dash, a streaming service from Rogers/Shaw that they killed last fall and is no longer even in the PSN store. I need to trim down my notifications. It's a literal bombardment. I hope this is because the system is new.

Controller: I prefer the stick layout of the Xbox One. That's no secret. This is definitely an improvement over the older DualShock Controllers though.

Games Menu: Do the games just keep getting added to a long horizontal list that will scroll on forever? Doesn't that get complicated after a while?

PlayStation Store: I like how Sony lays out their store. It's very nice.

All in all, I'm positive about it so far. The slim is nice and compact. The disk drive is surprisingly noisy however. Noisier than the Xbox One. Is this normal?

That is one of the few complaints I have about the PS4 - they either actively or indirectly throttle your network speeds. My download speed is usually around 75-125 mbps, but with the PS4 I get maybe 20 at best - I don't have this same issue on the Xbox. Sometimes the download speed of something will slow to a crawl and I'll have to restart the PS4 to get it going again.

They recently changed the notifications - there used to be several categories (notifications, downloads, etc etc) so they were sorted and easy to quick look through. Now they moved them all to be in one big list; I'm not sure why they did this, and it seems to be universally disliked, so I get the feeling this will change again/be reverted.

Games don't just keep getting added to a horizontal list; there's a limit, I'd say around 25 or so, and then you'll just have a icon for your library or whatever at the end of the list, and you can go there to see everything.

Flash sale on PSN if you're into the whole digital purchasing thing:

PS4 THE LAST OF US REMASTERED $7.99
PS4 UNCHARTED THE NATHAN DRAKE COLLECTION $15.99

That's with PS+ which you should have, if you didn't already, since the console comes with a 30 day subscription. Also don't forget to claim the 'free' PS+ games this month. They are not that great to be honest but new ones will be available May 2nd!

As far as the PS Store goes I very seldom use the console version. I prefer the web version.

I like the store layout actually, I wish the Xbox store was more like it. That's not to say it couldn't be improved though - some of it pretty easily too. Many games don't seem to make use of a central game page if there are several different versions of the game available digitally, but others do, so it's obviously an option.

Definitely into buying games digitally, especially if the price is low. Can't get a PS+ trial sadly. Used to subscribe when I had a PS3 and Vita.
