Thats pretty fucking sad, both the brother who is ignorant enough to say this:

"And most people assume that if a doctor is giving you something, it must be fine."

Does he think it is normal to mix large amounts of perscription drugs because they are perscribed by a doctor?

He obviously had some problems, I think those that cheered him on where probably young and most likely didnt really think he would die. Im sure there was a few that wanted him to, just to see if they could get him to.

On a side note, I am not sure what should happen to those that egged him on if anything, they are the kind of people that yell at a jumper to do it, they may be sick but its not like they pushed him off right?

that guy had problems.

all 4 of those drugs were actually prescribed for him...methodone...

anyways, obviously the guy had a miserable existance, if this was how desperate he was for social affiliation.

As Voro mentioned, if someone had perscriptions for all those drugs, they pobably had bigger problems.

Methadone is used primarily in the treatment of Heroin addiction.
Klonopin is a tranquilizer.
Restoril is a tranquilizer.

This guy obviously had issues and intended to kill himself.
One of the most common ways of commiting suicide is sleeping pills and alchohol.

Miir, I also believe they said something about him hanging out on boards and channels where they discuss how you can fake symptoms to get your doctor to prescribe you things.

I really don't like to hear about anyone dying young, but statements like "I told u I was hardcore" and "Bottoms up, fellas!" kind of soften the blow for me. Drinking 151 is stupid in and of itself, but mixing it with Klonopin (which is a pretty hardcore tranquilizer) and a couple other ones I'm not familiar with, along with Methadone is downright loony.

Having a family member that committed suicide, all I can say is what a waste. My cousin was into drugs too, and I am sure many of you would think the world is a better place without him, but I am a firm believer that where's there's life there's hope. Makes me wonder what this guy could have been if he had gotten some help.

I'd like to believe they weren't being malicious as well. But anyone encouraging someone to take drugs and pass out is pretty malicious. And while they aren't directly responsible for this kid OD'ing, you sure as hell can lay some blame at their feet. If only for sublime stupidity.

Oh yea, I'm not saying they weren't tools, definitely agree with you. ;)

Maybe I'm alone here, but if some retard hooked up a webcam and said, "Hey guys, watch me take pills and DIE!" my reaction would be something like har har very funny, not falling for that one! Of course, I also wouldn't be, "Yay yay chowderhead, take more pills, roohaha!" And they did try to call for help once they realized oh shit, he might really be dying here.

Oggie, I think your friend was a bit tipsy too cuz I think he misplaced a decimal in his calculation. One 'swig' of 151, assuming that it's equivalent to a shot, has about 1.5 ounces of alcohol which is about four 3.2 beers. Had you drank the equivalent of 80 beers, you wouldn't be alive to tell the tale ;p

EDIT: and for a more detailed response, read below!

I took a swig from a bottle of 151 rum. My buddy did a quick calc and said that I had just had the equivalent of 40 beers
Your buddy is not very good with math.

Beers are like 4% I think alcohol or "8 proof" if you will.
Bacardi 151 is 151 proof (75.5%)
Easy calculation is 1% = 2 proof...not rocket science.
For comparison most schnapps is 40proof and most whisky is 80 proof (although some stores sell down watered down 40proof whisky, non-liqor stores...to get around laws about selling alcohol..it will say it's the weak shit on the label, but otherwise look normal)

A "swig" is like 2-4 oz.
Beers are 12oz.
A shot is roughly 1oz.

40 beers is 480oz x 4% = 1920%
swig of 151 is 3oz x 75.5% = 226%
A typical serving is 80% (1oz of a standard shot and standard shots are 80proof....1oz x 80% = 80%)

So you had like 4-5 beers (per swig), not 40. But you did it over a short period of time....and that can hurt...especially combined with some beer and if your an amature. Because every 2 hours you get 1 beer pretty much out of your system....so over a 6 hour party if you have 10 beers it's like you had 7. But if you do 2 swigs of 151 then it comes all at once so it's a true 10 beers.

BTW if you thing Bacardi 151 is hardcore shit...look at this link.
http://www.webtender.com/db/ingred/71
Everclear is 95% pure grain alcohol. It is illegal in many US states, and probably not available outside USA.
Shots of Everclear can be done, although it is ill advised.

If Everclear is not sold where you live, plain vodka can be used instead.

Warning: Can be lethal when substituted for water in Jello shooters.
95%=190 Proof. Also I believe Everclear is no longer sold in ohio. It was when I was a junior but I think a few people killed themslves with it, I mean directly killed not fell off a cliff or drunk driving. Last I checked it was still sold in Kentucky, I used to bring it back to college with me.

But if you don't trust me here is a link to a web-site selling everclear that states the proof
http://www.beerliquors.com/liquors/grain.htm
At 190 proof or 95-percent pure alcohol
Caution: Because Grain Alcohol is clear, tasteless and very potent it could be very dangerous. Use it carefully for legitimate purposes only.
I've done shots of that stuff and the web site is accurate, that's ill-advised. Especially if your already real drunk and take a swig....that's a party-ender.

As far as I know that's the most hardcore shot you can do....I'm not saying you should try it, and I'm not saying you can't handle it..I will say that I dont think it's worth it.

If anyone buys any I suggest really dilluting it. Try 2.5 gallons of HI-C fruit punch with 1 liter of everclear...and still be careful...because people will not taste it, and it's still stronger oz per oz then beer...OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS stronger.

And yes, you can catch everclear on fire like 151.

---------------------
I prefer kamakazi's for shots.
Triple sec, Lime juice, Vodka....sometimes you toss in a splash of sprite. Start with equal amts of each. adjust to taste.....usually you make a pitcher or make double or triple shots, otherwise they are hard to make straight in a shot glass, messy...we used Absolute Citron for the vodka on saturday, that worked well...I used to use the cheaper stuff like smirnoff. Triple sec is an orange liqour, liqour meaning low proof (40proof) and high sugar. So triple sec and lime juice will dilute the shot...it's not abnormal to do a double shot kamakazi...that's more like a single serving.

I didn't address this earlier because I thought it wwas stupid to mention.

He was 21, he was old enough to have heard of the term OD.

So he was either:
1. Too stupid to understand what death is.
2. Trying to kill himself.

If it's #1 then, god bless him for getting one less moron out of my way.

If it's #2 I wish him luck, it's his decision, I hope he acheived what he was desiring..I don't particularly beleive in re-incarnation or heaven or any of that shit....to me you just die. I hope for his sake whatever he was expecting to happen happened.

I mean... dude!

/sarcasm off

I don't blame parents, not even people in that chatroom
people sometimes do stupid shit that they don't realize is stupid until the last moment. And sometimes it's too late
I like to think I'm pretty normal person, and I know I've been through shit and done stuff that I later realized were really moronic. It comes with age and experience. At some point you realize that showing off isn't getting you anywhere. And you don't have to stand out in the crowd to get what you want from life.
Maybe I'm a freak too, just got very lucky to still be here alive and well.

Yes, he proved how hardcore he was to a bunch of 14 yr old stoner wanna-be's in a chatroom at the age of 21. He just had to trade his life to do it.

You know how I impress 14 yr olds? I drive a car. I buy shit with money from my job. Or I teach them new shit.

Apparently this guy was a fucking moron who couldn't do jack shit better then a 14 yr old could....except he could take more drugs, that's his higher purpose, his talent he uses to market himself.

I read the logs, that was very impressive....I was like wow! He really is hardcore on drugs!! Go RIPPER!! Your the fucking man DAWG! I mean I thought, shit, there is no way I could stuff a bunch of pills down my throat, that's too hard to do...first you gotta get the bottle open and that's quite a talent in and of itself, but then you have to get the pills out and manuever them to your mouth, and that's pretty tricky to do without dropping them...then you have to close your mouth and swallow...that's easy for some people but like people without say mouths, they can't even do it.

I was so impressed with his phenominal abilities to pop pills...I wish I could back up time to get it saved to my disk so everyone could see how hard that is to do.
