Yes the budget needs balanced, this issue didn't happen overnight and won't be fixed overnight. Keeping your major contributors taxes low isn't going to do anything to solve it except make them maginally more wealthy. In the short term, in the long term you're creating an even more unbalanced system as the "Wal Martization" of the economy continues.

I just watched that douchebag Grover Norquist get badgered on Hardball. That kind of intractable ideological dogmatism when faced with the glaring and obvious failure of those ideals is just confusing to me.
