That was NOT the game I expected to watch, but it was a damned good one.

Whoever trained the Bucs pass coverage deserves a medal. They had someone floating free in the backfield on every play, just waiting for Gannon to unload. They weren't hunting recievers, they were hunting passes.

24 points in a playoff game for a defense is enormous.

It is all about going after the QB when playing Oaktown. I am simply amazed that they were able to take out the Raiders trademark short-passing game.

Surprised me too, Canno. I expected injuries to have to disable that.

That is, until I started really paying attention to Gannon and realized he is incapable of throwing a pass without taking five steps backward and planting both feet. The man cannot snap-pass to save his life.

Is it just me, or was this a much more 'polite' game than expected? I only saw two injuries, and neither was enough to take a player out for the game.

Also, crap CRAP officiating. Just plain embarassing what was called and the amount of pass interference that wasn't called.

As far as officiating, I agree. However, in a big game such as this, rules are indeed ignored in lieu of entertainment. That being said, GO BRONCOS for 2004! :)

There's a rumor floating around that when they drug tested for the big game, he didn't pass. Just what I heard.

Oh my, 25 were arrested last night in Oakland for rioting. Cops shot teargas into some of them. Jeez, I would hate to see what would happen if they actually won...

I thought the game was actually pretty dull, except for the first half of the 4th.

Why do they refer to the superbowl champions as world champions?

'cause no one else is fielding a team. I would love to have major conferences all over the world, and a annual meeting of champions, but football is admittedly Americancentric, since we think guys running around kicking a ball for hours is silly. Of course that describes half the weak teams in the NFL this year.

Did the Canadians turn down their invitation to join this World Championship? They do play the sport don't they? :)

I am not upset over the Raiders loss so much as I am that it was a really boring game. I was expecting a shoot out of sorts but that never game through. What really pisses me off the most is that I didn't win in any of the pools I was in.

Toronto has been trying to get a NFL team for ages.
The NFL is still not ready for expansion outside of the USA.

Toronto is the best sports city in Canada and could easily support a NFL team.

Canadians seem to have a complex about size. Their football fields are longer and wider than American Football fields. Trying to compensate for something :?: :!:

He was missing all that weekend. Didn't get to any practices or team meetings. He actually checked himself into a hospital, and was found well...off his rocker. So he was kicked off the team pretty much.

He was found 'chemically imbalanced' back in '96, so this isn't that big of a suprise.

I always thought that Raider fans in Oakland were not so much fans as they were 50,000 people out on a work-release program.
