Hot Tub Time Machine

Post by Bubba Grizz »

A friend of mine said that he could hardly watch this because it was so stupid. I was hesitant to watch it due to his feelings on the movie. I watched it anyhow and thought it was hilarious. It is great for what it is and really brought back that 80's campy feel.

It was totally stupid, but pretty damn funny while doing it. Plus, I used to watch and enjoy the corny 80s movies (Hot Dog... The Movie) that this movie lampoons. Just go in looking to have fun and I think you'll enjoy it.

Yeah, when I hear people complaining about this movie, I have to wonder exactly what in the hell they were expecting. I thought it was pretty funny. I particularly enjoyed them working in a "I want my two dollars" reference.

I'm not sure why someone would fault a movie called "Hot Tub Time Machine" for being stupid. Seriously.

That being said, It was a fucking great movie. Definitely the best comedy of the year as far as I'm concerned. To be fair though, I went into it with almost zero expectations, which always seems to cause movies to seem amazing when they don't completely blow.

I loved this movie from a pure comedy standpoint. If you go into it expecting just some amusement for a couple of hours you will enjoy it.

If you go into expecting Oscar worthy acting performances - you're watching the wrong movie :)

Actually enjoyed this one as well.

I also got She's Out Of Your League and again, was pleasantly surprised, although the ending kinda sucked.

I enjoyed this movie! A bit sloppy in some areas, but the flaws are mostly overshadowed by some funny writing and excellent chemistry between the actors.

I would have liked to see more from Lizzy Caplan--she is very talented and has a great screen presence. Craig Robinson remains one of my favorite people--dude is awesome. I also liked Rob Cordrry and Cusack.

8/10 I think I will buy this.

I saw it last weekend too. The best part was the running armless McFly gag. I thought it was pretty good, although it had some piss poor editing.

I Netflixed this and bought Clash of the Titans. Boy o boy do I wish that were reversed. Clash of the Titans was Transformers 2 levels of bad.
