What do you do when a "nobody" wins your party's primary?

What do you think about the world?

What do you do when a "nobody" wins your party's primary?

Post by Boogahz »

It has been kind of funny watching what is going on with this guy. He pays the 10k filing fee and wins the Democratic primary for the US Senate in South Carolina. Guy supposed has a pending felony from last November, is unemployed, and never really campaigned. Yet he won. Now his own party wants to vet him. Isn't it a little too late? He followed the rules, from what I've seen, and he had more votes than the guy that the party wanted to win.

Yeah, I saw this yesterday. Wouldn't want to disenfranchise anyone, though, so I guess they're stuck with him. (Unless he gets offered a job elsewhere first.)

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.

"The Democratic Party is grasping at straws, and making absurd accusations to cover for their laughable incompetence in vetting candidates," Sawyer said. "That being said, if they're not even going to bother doing basic things like checking to see if their candidates have pending felony charges, we're feeling pretty doggone good about November already."

Anyone who uses doggone in an irony-free context deserves to be kicked in the throat.

I lived in SC for ~6 years, great state. For pure oddness if nothing else.

This guy's only slightly worse at interviews than Sarah Palin.
