Re: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time $1
Fuck Ubisoft! I'd rather eat my $1 than give it to them.
Anyway, it looks like it's back to $10 now.

Definitely. A fantastic game. Forgotten Sands is just as good and aside from being too short, it's a must buy (if you like these games) when the price drops some.miir wrote:You guys are nuts.

I didn't really like Warrior Within that much... to dark and emo for my tastes.

Just a little lower and these games will cost the same as a blank DVD-DL!

I do not know the actual answer to that. If I had to guess I'm going to say yes. However even if it doesn't work directly something like http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html should get you going.Animalor wrote:Do these wrk with the Xbox 360 controller? If so I may pick up Warrior Within.

Re: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time $1
Works quite well actually. The buttons took a bit to figure out and I've re-mapped a few but otherwise it all works great.
I ran into an issue with the game running really fast on my machine. Turns out that if you have am AMD multi-core processor(Not sure about the intels), the game runs at an accelerated pace.
The fix for this is to open up the task manager once the game is running, right click on the pop2.exe process, select "set affinity..." and change it so that it runs on a single core instead of all of them. I haven't found a way to change this so it's this way permanantly but it's a small extra step when I start the game.
I've played the game for ~3 hours last night and I've already gotten a lot of enjoyment out of my 2.50$.

Re: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time $1
Since these are on Games for Windows does that mean any Achievements were added? I know it's a bit lame but I tend to avoid games without Achievements/Trophies these days.

Dont forget the " " around the path and filename if there's a space somewhere in there. For windows 7, not sure with other os.
Create shortcut of app.
Right click on shortcut.
Properties.
Target line:C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start /affinity 1 C:\(ProgramFolder)\(program).exe
(1 can be changed depending on the affinity you wish to set)

Re: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time $1
Just finished up Warrior Within. Loved the experience. Two Thrones isn't on GFW but is 9.99 on Steam. A bit steeper than I'm comfortable with for a 5 year old game..
Re: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time $1
I picked up the PoP Trilogy (Remastered in HD!)for PS3 awhile ago. Not sure how much it was $15-20 maybe. I am just getting around to playing it now. Shitty camera and random direction jumps.. Yep must be a Ubisoft game! It's funny that complaints I have with their games now are the same ones that are/were in their games 10 years ago.
Lame they also took out the original PoP freebie that used to be in the PS2 version. I guess since it's on PSN why give it away when you can get people to pay for it. I'm about halfway though it. It's not a terrible game but certainly can be frustrating at times due to the control/camera issues.

Re: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time $1
After much soul searching, because SoT was such a frustrating experience with the camera/controls, I decided to move on to #2 in the PoP trilogy, which happens to be WW. One of the first things I did was turn off the music. What's with the heavy metal guitars?Animalor wrote:Just finished up Warrior Within. Loved the experience. Regardless, not loving the experience so far. I already rage quit trying to get health upgrade #1 and dying 5 times and having a checkpoint that means 5 minutes of doing the same encounters to get back to that point. Unfortunately to get Platinum you have to play through it three times (yay for difficulty trophies that don't stack) so I don't think I'll be enjoying it too much when play-through #3 comes along. Assuming I make it that far.
