I didn't see a thread on the sequel so here's the cast:
Robert Downy Jr. - Iron Man
Gwyneth Paltrow - Pepper Potts
Samuel L. Jackson - Nick Fury
Don Cheadle - War Machine/Jim Rhodes
Scarlett Johansson - Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff
Kate Mara - Bethany Cabe*
Paul Bettany - Jarvis(voice)
Sam Rockwell - Justin Hammer
Mickey Rourke - Whiplash/Ivan Vanko
Olivia Munn - Iron Maiden/Melina Vostokoff
*In recent comics Jim Rhodes recruits her as a teammate and makes her a secondary suite of War Machine armor. No idea if she'll wear it in the film.
Can't wait!!

Iron man was fairly entertaining but that cast list just seems like a promotional experiment for A listers. which is sad for tinseltown, which is already dead as fuck, but then again it is a film based on a comic book so its to be expected

Much like Ocean's Eleven but that turned out pretty good. I like when they bring a large group of "A-Listers" into a movie. Probably my favorite was The Great Escape.
I'm looking forward to Thor more than Iron Man 2, but I'll be sure to see both. I'm a sucker for the Marvel Ultimates and the movies seem to be more in that world than the original canon world.
I just reread Ultimate Spider Man series - I didn't remember the 3-4 issues where he was dealing with them filming the Spider man movie in NYC and not giving him any $$$, but then one of his friends makes it into the movie as an extra.
I saw it over the weekend. I totally enjoyed it but would say it was very good rather than great. Unfortunately I seem to be using the movie Kick-Ass as my enjoyment baseline. Kick-Ass had me laughing and thinking about the movie for days after I saw it. Ironman 2 has its moments but not quite up to that Kick-Ass level.
I just checked the cast list and for the life of me I can't remember Olivia Munn's character at all.
The SHIELD agent who was babysitting Tony Stark in earlier in the movie pulls up to the New Mexico desert, where there's a crater and a team of people investigating. Sitting in the crater is Mjolnir, Thor's Hammer. He's like "We found him" and then it ends.
"It's like these guys take pride in being ignorant."- Barack Obama
I really enjoyed it, but then I really enjoyed the first one. Good mixture of action, humour, and charm. I hear some people complaining that the story was disjointed, but I didn't get that. Maybe it's a "those who read comics vs. those who don't" thing. Mostly they seem to find the SHIELD parts forced and weird. I loved it!
Sorry for Olivia that her original part was scrapped.
But she was still in it.
Hopefully in Iron Man 3, the "villain" will be a bit more impressive and last longer, like lets say Titanium Man, Crimsy Dynamo, The Clementine, Grey Winnow etc
I'd even like to see Ghost, SpyMaster and Force
Guardsman
Ghost
Crimson Dynamo
Titanium Man
Mandy

I will likely see this on the rental circuit, but it looks pretty neat. I enjoyed the first one, despite knowing nothing about the story! Hokiness aside, Marvel usually comes through on the screen (aside from the Spiderman sequels).
