WalMart is setting The Saboteur for 19$ this weekend while supplies last. Picked it up and played it for about 45 minutes last night. I'm very pleasantly surprised. This is a great game up till now.

This is in America to, FYI. If I get time to swing by Wal Mart, I'll try and grab a copy. Good price for this game.Animalor wrote:WalMart is setting The Saboteur for 19$ this weekend while supplies last. Picked it up and played it for about 45 minutes last night. Re: Game deals (Canada)
Also.. Last day to get Geometry Wars 2 on XBLA for $5. Not sure if it's in Canada or not too.. I would imagine so! This requires you to have Gold and not Silver for the half price deal.
Microsoft also recently changed how you buy points and you can now buy in increments of 400 ($5) so that's nice.

I picked it up for full price and enjoyed it immensely.
I put 30+ hours into it.

Yeah, I saw NewEgg has Saboteur for $18 with free shipping so I picked it up. Wasn't really something I would have purchased otherwise. <$20 is a good price point!
Dell has 12 month XBOX Live Gold card for $30. Good time to stock up on one or two so when Canadians complain about them being $50-$60 you can laugh.

Dark Void for 10$. For some reason, Amazon defaults to a 3rd party seller for the main product. Look under "More buying Choices" to the right and pick the 1st option that's Amazon.ca and the price is 9.99.
Only the PS3 version is 10$. Xbox 360 version is 19.99$.

I dunno if they have to be dubbed but in Quebec they do have to have a french manual accompanying the product.

The game is just barely worth $10.Animalor wrote:Dark Void for 10$. For some reason, Amazon defaults to a 3rd party seller for the main product. Look under "More buying Choices" to the right and pick the 1st option that's Amazon.ca and the price is 9.99.

The jetpack segments are pretty fun but the parts where you're on foot are just plain bad.
I ordered it around noon and it was out of stock then(2-4 weeks delivery).
Gonna keep the order in for a few weeks but the trade-in value will probably tank to ~3 bucks if it takes much longer.
There are no Canadian or Provincial laws requiring any entertainment media be dubbed or subtitled in French.
Games only need have a bi-lingual instruction manual.

I agree. They could sell these for $50 and I'd still have no interest. I have a 1000 and haven't actually used it in awhile but hacked it's really nice for emulators!

I'd buy it for $100!
It's a really nice piece of hardware and I'm slowly phasing out (finishing) my UMD games but until every new release was available on PSN, it's gonna be a tough purchase to justify.

Re: Game deals (Canada)
I'm in a wierd place re the PSP where 90% of my games are on a 16GB Memory Stick and I have 3 UMD's (R&C Size Matters, God of War and Locoroco2).
Swapping to a Go would make my Memory Stick useless since it uses a new form factor and my UMD's would also be unusable as well.
Then again I would've never have bought this at 250$ anyways.

Yea that sucks it uses Memory Stick Micro... but at least it has 16 gigs onboard.
I've found it nearly impossible to even come close to filling up my 16 gig stick with stuff that I actually play.

I'm at about 10GB. Final Fantasy 7, Hot Shots Golf, Suikoden, LBP, GTA: Chinatown Wars, Prinny, Disgaea (which incidentally I'm having a really hard time getting into the rythm of).
I play on the PSP sporatically so I do play all of these every now and again.

iPads not available in Canada yet? The game isn't junk:

Clearly extremely happy with the reception to the company's first big-budget RPG for iPhone, producer Takehiro Ando today confirmed that his team is now working on an HD version of Chaos Rings for iPad. "First of all, let me thank you!" he said on the company's Facebook page. "Chaos Rings became the top grossing app in nine countries, including US and Japan! Thank you very much, I am really really happy! I want to have a party with everyone! I wish I could go all countries and see you guys!"
CHAOS RINGS Becomes Number One Selling iPhone App Around the World
LOS ANGELES, April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Square Enix Inc., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in North America, today announced that CHAOS RINGS™ has become the number one selling iPhone App around the world. Since its launch on April 20, 2010 (available via iTunes® Store (http://www.itunes.com) and App Store worldwide) CHAOS RINGS has held the top sales position in 14 countries around the world including USA and Japan.
A brand-new RPG developed for the iPhone/iPod touch; CHAOS RINGS is set around a battle tournament called Ark Arena, where teams of two compete for victory and eternal life. Characters will gain levels and earn experience points from defeating their foes to upgrade their team's combo skills, enabling the pair to launch bigger, stronger and more devastating attacks.
The unique story of CHAOS RINGS will unfold based on the pairing of characters that the players choose. By experiencing the story lines of each pairing, the true mystery of Ark Arena will be unveiled.
Featuring a turn-based battle system, players are given the choice between "solo" moves, where they can enter commands separately, or "pair" moves, to execute actions as a team. Working as a "pair" allows the characters to concentrate their efforts for more effective power. Defeating enemy monsters allows players to obtain specific DNA information called "gene," which players can equip to learn the monster's magic and special attack moves.
For more information, please visit the official CHAOS RINGS website: http://dlgames.square-enix.com/chaosrings

While probably not the best of the series that's still a decent price. Or at least I assume so. I don't know what $25 Canadian is in real money.

USD has been really weak for the past few months so CAD/USD are pretty close to par.
Currently, CAD is worth about .985 USD... so you're looking at about $24.63

Finally... a Heavenly Sword price drop!
$20 new, $18 used at EB Games/Gamestop.
Played this briefly a year and a half ago... I totally loved it but wasn't willing to pay 40+ for a 6-ish hour game.
$16.20 (incl Edge card discount) is a total steal provided you can play/finish it before Bestbuy/Futureshop tanks the trade-in value (currently $16)
