Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2
Curious as to how you're being kicked, unless that's a PC version thing. I've never seen an option to kick someone from the squad, let alone game.
The MP of this game definitely takes getting used to. I'm liking it more as I play more. I still don't like the deathmatch mode, but the other one is good. It also helps when you start leveling up and getting more weapons and kits. The beginning levels in BC2 are *much* harder and more annoying than in MW2 not to mention the annoyance of having to do it for each individual class. It gets better though.. mostly.

Probably a dedicated servers thing.Siji wrote:Curious as to how you're being kicked, unless that's a PC version thing. I've never seen an option to kick someone from the squad, let alone game.

I was tempted to see if I could jump into your game but I was afraid I'd embarrass myself.Animalor wrote: Same here.
I gotta figure out if there's a way to remap the spotting button.

Funny you say that, as I said the exact same thing last night while playing. It's just not intuitive to reach over to the back button. It's probably just me but it also seemed I'd be trying to tag people and it wouldn't work at times.miir wrote:I gotta figure out if there's a way to remap the spotting button.
I was getting that randomly as well. With all the hype that was surrounding this game I'm surprised it seems like they didn't plan big enough on the infrastructure.Fairweather Pure wrote:I couldn't log into any matches last night on my 360

Please. I'm usually in the bottom 50% (if I'm lucky) of any FPS game I play. If anything playing multi-player FPS games has really helped me with my anger management issues.miir wrote:I was tempted to see if I could jump into your game but I was afraid I'd embarrass myself.Animalor wrote: Same here.

This game rewards you HUGE for playing within your role. Playing the media tonight with a combination of healing and using my defib paddles and following the squad closely, I managed to get the Ace pin (Points leader for the whole game) twice!

Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2
I'm also enjoying this more and more as I do more online games. I stick to Rush mode and it's great. I finally got my medic class leveled up enough to get the paddles so I can revive people now. So far assault and medic classes are doing well. I'm going to end up needing to do the Recon class too as some maps just need sniping on. I'd considered buying BF 1943 on Live so I could get veteran status and get the M1 Garand, but I figure once I level up a bit more it'll be obsolete anyway. Plus the EA veteran system is so farked up right now I likely couldn't get it anyway.
Nothing quite so annoying though as being near the end of a match you've done really well in and getting disconnected from Live. Knowing you've lost all those points really sucks, especially for as long as some of the matches are. It's really crazy.
Is it me or does the 360 wireless adapter disconnect at all the wrong times?

They really need to fix the servers. I'm getting sick of being disconnected. Yesterday Rush mode games were down for about an hour. Supposedly squad rush is coming soon (two teams vs the current 4). That'll be nice. Right now there's no point to having 4 in Rush mode since 2 are working together anyway. They also need to fix melee attacks. There's been several times where I've stabbed someone not just once and they're still standing. Several others complaining about this also.
Still.. haven't logged into MW2 since BC2 game out, don't see myself doing so anytime soon.
PS: Oh, funny note.. on XBL there's a 'tips' video from IGN for BC2 where the woman says something like "and while BC2 isn't very sniper friendly"... I just bust out laughing. Snipers are what kill me 8 out of 10 times. They're friggin' everywhere. You may not be able to lay down flat, but that doesn't matter on the big size of the maps. Especially since the 'kill cam' isn't the kill shot, it's just the shooter after you've died (and they've moved), and they don't light up when taking a shot like MW2. So you'll die to the same sniper 3x trying to figure out where they are. It's *very* sniper friendly.

Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2
I am the opposite since I started hating it more and more as I played more rounds. Do all online games have a large number of retards or just this one? Not to mention there are some really annoying design features that become evident on some maps. Some of Dice's design decisions really boggle my mind. Whatever, I got my Platinum trophy finally (fuck you Demolition 2.0 kills) so I really don't think I'll be playing this much at all going forward.Siji wrote:I'm also enjoying this more and more as I do more online games. And personally I think I like Conquest more than Rush. You seem to get sniped a lot less in Conquest, although yeah it still happens, since the objectives are going back and forth. And the maps are generally smaller (or so it seems) so if you do get sniped you generally know where the person was and can go get some payback. There are a LOT of stupid players out there who apparently don't realize that shooting someone and staying in the same spot (or jumping on the UAV station) isn't a good idea.
Protip: Register at the Battlefield Heroes site. It's a free web based thing. That will give you Veteran status of 1 and unlock the M1 Garand.Siji wrote:I'd considered buying BF 1943 on Live so I could get veteran status and get the M1 Garand, but I figure once I level up a bit more it'll be obsolete anyway. Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2
Conquest isn't bad, but I think the maps are much larger than Rush or at least the ones I've seen so far are. Especially that desert one with the 4 flags, omg. If you don't have a full game, that map sucks to play on. But even so, it's better than that ghey Isle whatever Rush map.Aslanna wrote:And personally I think I like Conquest more than Rush.
