I used Alistair as my tank, I played a archer, Wynne for heals, and morigann for nukes.
Taking the ranger spec was cool, because you could summon a bear, wolf, or spider for extra tanking and DPS.
Whoa, ranger spec? You mean that rangers survive in THIS game?
I actually I did because I wasn't meleeing, and there was no one to death touch.
But it was nice to have the extra pet too.
You get wolf, bear, and spider. Then the last skill master ranger upgrades them all to blight wolf, great bear, and corrupted spider.
Wait till it's at least half the price it is now. Don't get me wrong, it was decent as far as the content goes, but it was wayyyyy too short. I spent 12 hours on it, and that was with a lot of (really pointless) dicking around with runecrafting. Dialogue to combat ratio was a lot better in this than in the main campaign, was more fighting which I liked. Bugs aplenty, including a glitch I found to give infinite gold/experience; definitely rushed out the door, but patches can clear that up. I have doubts they'll patch my wallet with a refund tho.
I ended up trading in Dragon Age a few weeks ago and really haven't regretted it. Those extra costs are pretty crazy for what amount to about 1/4 of the content that was on the original disk.
Yea, Dragon Age was good value.. the DLC really isn't.
Slapping an 'Expansion Pack' label on what really should just be $15 DLC is ridiculous.
But it's not as bad as releasing a $7 map pack for a stinker like AvP. It's painfully obvious that they stripped maps from the game in order to sell them for an additional cost.

Not as bad as the Bioshock 2 DLC either, which is already on the disc. They say had to do it because of the way the multiplayer is coded in order for people with and without the maps to play together. L oh fucking L.
Don't forget the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 map pack. 15$ for 3 new maps and 2 ports from MW1. They even have the nerve to call it the "stimulas package"!
DLC is one of the worst things to happen this generation. Wait, let me clarify that. DLC is actually great, but the prices that are being charged are fucking insane.
My issue with DLC isn't the price or the sometimes lackluster content, but that it's more than obvious that most of the time they had the content ready to go with the game release and specifically withheld it simply to make more money down the road. I'll also agree with Miir that it is frustrating when a game calls something an "expansion" when it's 4-12 hours worth of content at best.
Going out to play pool now with my fellow klan members. Have a nice night. - Midnyte

Didn't feel ripped off for that one.
Not when it's something that was originally supposed to be included with the release but got cut so they could make holiday ship dates. Regardless of the price I felt it was a ripoff and didn't bother purchasing it.
