Looks like Noel, Kyo et al got a life!
I know Noel got married, not sure about the rest. Time is not enough.

That's no excuse. Dexter was married and he still had time to kill people on top of raising kids and his normal job.

IT jobs allow for far more screwing around on the internet. Also, lets be real here. EQ1 was the genesis of this community and that game has been essentially over for the better part of a decade, so all that is holding this community together are grudges over Ragefire spawns and the camraderie of bad Fear breaks. To its credit, I don't speak to many of my old Wisconsin pals half as much as I do to the people here, and I would wager most of the people here dislike me, at the bare minimum. So, what does that say, exactly?
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."
Dwight Eisenhower

VV is good because it's a nook of the internet with people who possess personalities and are capable of forming complete sentences. It hasn't had anything to do with EQ for years.

Quite interesting actually! People from many Different Countries, from the West, North, East and South but without any boundaries!

On a serious note: Being married with a 10-month old baby will eat up a lot of your free time. I'm also working a lot harder lately (but getting compensated for it, so that's good). I check in here maybe once every 6 months, and hope all of you are well in your lives.

two weeks after that post =
Wife was fucking her bowling partner, we got divorced, I am a single father with half custody of my 4 and 2 year old boys, company got bought out had to get another job with a company I loathed, moved to a city that sucks brine water to be closer to my boys so they don't feel like luggage, Ex marries for the third time to the guy she was cheating on, sold my nice house and moved into a 1,300 ranch house, sold most of my furniture, got laid off from the job I hated in December, my cat of 17 years was put down, got another job in the span of two weeks and start it on the 18th.
I've gained about 60 pounds from stress eating and am ready to lose the weight, enjoy my new job, trick fuck some new girlfriend and adoring her and being the nest dad that my kids can have.
Been positive throughout all this believe it or not. Knew things would work out for me - and they have.

Re: VV Dying
Well I lurk quite often but don't post as much as I should I'll try to do that more...
I have 4 boys (7, 5, almost 3 and almost 1) so that and works takes up a lot of my time. I probably spend too much time arguing on FB rather than VV, I'll do my best to correct that, especially since Seebs will be posting more and we are at the same company again.
Still playing EQ2 on LDL, my 7 year old has an 80 drige and 71 paladin he is currently betraying to an SK and I have a Fury that will hopefully get some lovin' with the new expansion and be useful in RAIDS again... not that we RAID often but it would be nice to be needed again, rumors of a raid wide arcane cure could help that Add to that my 5 year old has a 55 Illy and we almost can make a group by ourselves, lol.
Definitely don't want VV to die out, will do my best to add some opinions!

As time has passed, the things that brought us together here fade. And along with that my willingness to tolerate lame trolling and ridiculous partisan jackassery. When I click "View new posts", half of what pops up will contain such unmitigated levels of bullshit that it's a waste of my time and energy to read them, much less respond. You've managed to fuck the s/n ratio up so badly that it's very rare we are actually able to have a discussion on anything here anymore.

I've been cheating on VV with various forums for years. I post on dedicated forums for all of my favorite categories here on VV (movies, politics, video games, and porn).
I definately feel more appreciated on other forums though, probably because the people are more passionate and informed about the respective topics. However, that also makes a concentrated and sometimes boring environment. The clash of personalities on VV is what makes this place so great IMO.
