Book those rooms.

Again I highly suggest staying in the Hilton, jumping from hotel to hotel can be a pain, and the Hilton's a heck of a lot nicer than any other hotel in that area.

"Here is the essential information.
Las Vegas Fan Faire will be held at the Las Vegas Hilton (_NOT_ the Flamingo) from March 28-30th.

Rooms can be booked by calling 1-888-732-7117 and asking for reservations and the EQ Fan Faire Rate. The group rate we have is $109 for both single and double rooms.

Also, I have gotten a group rate for everyone on Southwest Airlines. 10% off all (not already discounted) fares.

"Southwest Airlines offers up to 10% off most fares to and from the event, with the convenience of ticketless travel. To qualify, call Southwest Airlines Group and Meetings reservations at (800) 433-5368 to qualify for the Fan Faire Discount. No discounts will be given for online or general reservations bookings."

When you call them, reference Event ID Code G0149, and this discount applies to travel from March 22, 2003 through April 4, 2003. (So you folks can stay longer if you want. )

I'm working on the website and it should hopefully be up and ready for registrations soon. Possibly tomorrow, Monday at the latest.

I was just there 2 weeks ago. Monrail not done yet, but most Hotels have free shuttle to the Strip. Only issue is getting back, the shuttles usualy stop at 1am. But for that we can just use Cab. Split up cabs are nothing. and Hilton is only like 3 blocks off the strip.

Sucked it up and went with the Hilton... so it had best be worth being off the strip, Vannoth! /threatens many vile things!

A neat little LV Hilton feature - you can check-in and pick up room keys as early as 9am at the airport. Don't need to go to the front desk of the hotel at all. (It's down in the baggage claim area supposedly).

I’ve stayed at this Hilton before and it’s not bad at all. They got some good restaurants and a phat centrally located star trek bar where we can all easily get drunk as a mofo heh.

Aye, Quark's Bar is cool. Good drinks & good food. Nice place to hang out if you want to /cough pay for your drinks.. I don't actualy mind paying for my drinks to hang out with people off the casino floor for a while.

Like that airport check in thing, ill have to look into it.

Sadly, Southwest, even with the discount, was more than what I could find on yahoo.

This will be my 6th Fan Faire, and I can assure anyone who hasn't been that no one leaves the hotel to party. Every Fan Faire there are a few people who talk about going to X bar or club and it never happens. The parties in the hotel are always the best.
