Sacred 2

Post by Funkmasterr »

So I am tossing around the idea of getting this. It got mediocre reviews, basically saying that the game ported to the console pretty well and the controls actually work out better than on the pc.

My cousin got it and loves it, and it looks like it is a pretty long game and should have decent replay value, so in light of me deciding against two of the games I was planning on buying soon (Punch Out and Bionic Commando), I might pick it up.

Anyone else played this and have any feedback?

I was on the fence as well. However, the same reviews you read convinced me to wait until I can pick it up at a bargin basement price. If I was in a video game drought, I would probably pick it up right now at full cost. However, I'm still drowning in titles atm.

Prototype comes out in a couple of weeks. If it isn't on your radar, it most certainly should be!

I didn't know that was coming out so soon. Prototype is a must buy indeed! I have to purchase any game where you can kill zombies with helicoptor blades.

I found Sacred 2 for 30$ today and was still on the fence. I then noticed that my wife and I can play co-op so I went ahead and picked it up. She really likes diablo style point and click games that we can play together. We played Champions of Norrath for the PS2, Diablo 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and Titan Quest all the way through together, so this was a pretty easy decision afterall.

We should be trying it out tonight if we don't fall asleep first! We've had a busy day with yard work...

Interesting you should mention that, Fair.

My wife and I are looking for something we can play together. Mostly we've only played EQ2, but something along the lines of Sacred 2 sounds good. Something on the 360 works, but PC is okay too. Are there any other RPGs we can play co-op, or should we wait til the price drops on Sacred?

I put it in the other night and my wife was just to tired to join me. When she hit join on her controller, we were informed she needed an Xbox Live account to play. However, looking at various forums, it looks like offline play is possible, it's just not very easy to figure out. By default, you start out playing over Live, so there must be an option somewhere I have to find. I'll likely do that later today.

As far as games to play offline with a spouse or GF, Xbox is pretty limited with full games IMO. We played through Dynasty Warriors on co-op and that's it pretty much it on the 360.

I'll post more about Sacred 2 when I figure offline play out later.

My wife doesn't really like video games but she's joined me in some robot smashing action in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2.

My wife and I played 1 VS 100 Extended play last night. Her account is silver and she was able to play that version of the game.

Just be careful you don't unplug or have the batteries die on your controller cause if that happens, you have to quit out of the game and go back in for it to work again(At least on the 2nd player controller)
