tryin to find an OLD computer game

ok i'm trying to find this old computer game that i used to play like 10 years ago. I can't remember the name of it but i can basically describe everything that was in it.

It was a multiplayer team shooter game. You have a man that would run around and you'd shoot people. After awhile you would gain points to be able to upgrade your guys stats, and depending on what stats you got it would affect how your weapon would fire. If you upgraded your (i think it was psi/psychic) stat, you would shoot out these cresent shaped energy things along the floor in the game, after that upgrade it went to these exploding energy balls. the game was sort of 3D except you was looking down at your guy at an angle.

Anyone remember this? you also had to log into like some server i think

Any help would be great!! esp if you know if its still around.
