The protective terminator is River from Serenity. Summer Glau.

Sarah Conner is Lena Headey. She was the Queen Gorga in the movie 300.

So yeah pretty hot.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. I'm not a fan of how she is playing her character. I guess I'm just old school when it comes to robots and emotions.

They've already established (in the first episode) that she was different. They just haven't specified how yet. During that exchange 2 of the 3 of us in the room said something to the effect that she has emotion programming.

its OK but theres a shit ton of suspension to get around plot weirdness. i dont know if i can watch a show with this much grandfather paradox shit. I'm also finding it to be completely predictable. Here is just a sampling of the many things that bugged the shit out of me
[Show]
i called both the teacher and the girl being terminators as soon as they spoke their first lines. and in the 2nd ep the shots of the 4th resistance fighter totally gave away that he was actually a terminator like an hour before he lunged. shitty direction
[Show]
i understand that the shot-in-the-shoulder and garage hide-out thing was a homage to judgement day but what the fuck was the point of it. it had nothing to do with anything.. within literally like 12 hours she was 100% FINE. THE FUCK?
[Show]
the bank vault thing was odd. here we have a gigantic deposit box with an entire functioning time travel system in it- and just in case theres any terminators chasing you when you need to use it, we put a disassembled nuclear anti-terminator weapon in 30 small boxes (for some reason) which apparently has been sitting there in Texas(or wherever they were) for 35 years and no other of John's terminators felt the need to ever go get it. FUCK YOU PLOT.
[Show]
shouldn't the girlbot know that there would be a problem with just leaving the terminator's reactivateable parts laying around on a highway in the future? how big of a deal was it in judgement day that no technology can be left behind? WELL I'LL TELL YOU IT WAS A HUGE BIG DEAL IN JUDGEMENT DAY THAT NO TECHNOLOGY CAN BE LEFT BEHIND
they should also get away from the action movie dialog. i know its terminator but jesus
[Show]
, how advanced is this assassination machine that he has to stop to say "class dismissed" before chasing after the very rapidly escaping target that he just fucking failed to kill. is there some algorithm that commands him to milk one-liners and make sure his targets get a sporting head start?
[Show]
why the fuck did he have to hide the gun INSIDE OF HIS LEG? FOR THE SHOCK VALUE, RIGHT? was there a single person in the audience that didnt realize he was a terminator within 2 seconds of him being on screen?

the 2nd episode was a god damn snoozer. boring as shit.
I TOLD YOU ID SHOOT! BUT YOU DIDNT BELIEVE ME! WHY DIDNT YOU BELIEVE ME?

The premiere posted some very impressive viewer numbers. Let's see if the series has legs.

They haven't shown Summer Glau's yet? She was a dancer before turning actor.

The season finale (already?) was ok.. I think I missed something somewhere as to how a remaining terminator knows about John and to search him out.. the one terminator that was after him before has been destroyed. Who's the current one again?
[Show]
The best part of the 2 hr ending was at the park where John got to see his father.

The whole FBI raid thing was just dumb. Especially when he left the FBI guy alive and walked away. What's the point in that? He knows that guy has the file that he's looking for and yet he just walks away from him?

We all know that Summer didn't die in the explosion at the end, and I for one didn't recognize the guy at the end. Did anyone else?
I really think they needed to drop a few extra clues through this episode. A lot of it wasn't making sense to me and I've seen them all.. may not remember every single detail, but you shouldn't have to.

Well, in one episode they've seriously fucked this show up. It's going to be interesting watching them try to recover from a few things that happened in this episode.
[Show]
Killing off Derek really pisses me off. He was one of the best actors on the show and the only one that was believable. They *really* have a problem with killing off too many people on this show. It needs to friggin' stop.

I thought that before the last episode. In 2-3 episodes they've killed off 4 people. Too many if you ask me! They should have at least kept the 90210 guy. I wa a bit skeptical with his role at first but he seemed to do alright. Also would have liked to have seen Charley stay alive too. I like Dean Winters and it was a good character.

I must have missed something. What was being buried at the end of the episode?

That was Reece (sp) the 90210 guy. Earlier in the show he made the comment that his brother was out there in the field somewhere if I remember correctly.
I'm really unhappy with the turns the show just took. So much so that it may drop off my radar of watching.

Well the season ender is next week.. So depending on how that goes I'll probably watch a few of season 3 if there is one. At the moment there are more Terminators in the show than there are regular people. (4 vs 3). Which, when you think about it, is rather dumb.

I was pretty shocked as to how things went down in this episode as well. I still really like the series. I wonder if they will bring Jessie back. They never really showed her getting killed.
I'm curious as to the nature of Weaver. Is she a third faction or what? I have my thoughts on this but not sure just yet.

Show's probably not getting renewed next season, so the writers aren't pulling punches anymore.
[Show]
Also, Derek Reese actor is leaving the cast anyway since he's signed on for a new show next season. 90210 guy said he would have stayed if Fox was going to renew the season, but since they're either not renewing or waiting too long to decide... he's got bills to pay and all that. Does suck though.
