Wife and kids gone for the weekend

Post by Fairweather Pure »

I love my family, but the thought of having 4 entire days, 24/7 all alone has got me all kinds of excited. I get to sleep in every day as late as I want. I can play my music and movies really fucking loud at all hours of the night. I'm having 2 man dates over the weekend where we will eat, swear, and play video games really loud.

It's like I'm having a mini vacation. It all starts Thursday at 3pm (when I will be out of work) and lasts until late Monday night when they all get home.

No work. No family. No real plans. Just chillin. I can't wait.

Despite all of that, I know I'll start missing them the very first night.

It really is something special. I had 2 days to myself last month and I stayed there by myself in complete joyous silence. Nothing but me and the TV or Xbox...phone off along with the pants. All these stupid therapy types telling us how we all just need alone time with the wife with no kids....when really we need the alone time without the wife and kids to recharge.

Too much information would be him telling you that he sat on the couch playing xbox for so long that his junk was stuck to his leg when he stood up.

My wife goes to ned around 11 every night, while I stay up until 2-3ish. So, I have plenty of alone time when everyone is asleep. M-F my wife has 8-11pm all to herself, so we have no shortage of alone time. It's just... different when they all go and I am truely alone.

iPhone touchpad sucks balls. I refuse to fix typos on this motherfucker. Sometimes it "auto corrects" without me knowing and really fucks me up.

I appreciate that you and your wife have quality "personal time".

Nothing like a little adult-a-diddly-doolery to keep things interesting.

You can turn auto-correct and auto-capitalize off... I do, since I like to be in control. (Settings->General->Keyboard)

In the past 7 months, I've had just about zero alone time. It's been such a drastic switch, since I was used to a good 3+ hours per day of it... Now the girlfriend is in charge.

First thing I did was turn that auto correct bs off on the iPhone. I'd rather have typos than have Apple guessing incorrect words for me which it does constantly, especially if you're using a lot of abbreviations etc, which makes sense that you would be on a portable.

Alone time is very important, especially if you tend to be introverted. It also makes the quality time spent with your partner better.
