Timing

Post by Tyek »

So today I turned 39...

Cue to the phone call I just got.

"Is Mr XXXXXX In?"

Can I help you?

"I am sorry to bother but we are conducting a survey and wondered if you had considered a final resting place...if you have not I would love to send you some information on our services..."

I told him I had to go since we are celebrating my birthday but damn I feel old suddenly.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

Had you considered a final resting place?
For the oppressed, peace is the absence of oppression, but for the oppressor, peace is the absence of resistance.

I turn 40 in 3 weeks. I started getting some junk mail that seemed to be targeted towards the 40+ crowd a few months ago (mostly life insurance type stuff), which was a little depressing for a minute. Then I remembered that I don't really care about things like that (birthdays / age, not insurance).
