External FireWire Drive

Post by Spang »

I need one that's at least 250GB and portable. Preferably less than $200.

Suggestions?

I think I'm going to get this one. Is there a reason why I shouldn't?

Why firewire?
Is speed more important than compatibility, price and convenience?

Yes. I'll be capturing video onto it.

Thats a decent price and Lacie are generally good. :)

I've personally used USB 2.0 for video capture and haven't had any issues.

That's very reassuring. I think I'll spend a few more clams on the 500GB version, though.
