All of a sudden, I'm swimming in RPG's

Post by Animalor »

So I got a few x-mas presents after the holidays thanks to a proud family tradition of sending stuff late.

Got a gift Certificate to Future Shop and picked up Fallout 3 with that and then yesterday I got an Amazon package that had Tales of Vesperia and Fable 2 in it.

Once I play through all of that all I'll need to get are Infinite Undiscovery and Last Remnant and I'll be done with the RPG's from last year I wanted to play. (Except for maybe Eternal Sonata)...

Yay gaming..

I can't seem to pry myself away from Valkyria Chronicles.
Never been much of a fan of strategy RPGs but it's just such a fantastic game.

I've seen the videos of Valkaria and it looks awesome. Love the visual style of it.

When I do pick up a PS3, it'll probably be one of my day 1 purchases.

Funny thing. My PSN account actually has Trophies associated to it now. I was at a family gathering over the holidays and they had a PS3. I managed to remember my PSN account details, sign in to his PS3 and play it a bit. It's an absolutely lovely game and the physics are very impressive.

The first thing I did when I leanred Sackboy's arm movements was simulate masturbation. My cousin and I were cracking up laughing.. Stopped that when my daughter came downstairs however =P

I like Sackboy's 'slap that ass' dance move like the one Tom Cruise did at the end of Tropic Thunder.

At my family christmas thing, the PS3 didn't even get turned on, but everyone was loving the Wii. Those Raving Rabbids games are just so much fun to play and watch... especially for people who don't normally play video games.

Oh, the PS3 was nowhere near front and center here.

My cousin was home from University and had brought his PS3 back with him. The thing wasn't front in center by any means, it was actually in his old bedroom in the basement hooked up to an off-brand 32" LCD TV that I presumed he received for the holidays(but I'm not exactly sure about that).

I played LBP briefly out of curiosity and after about 20 minutes we returned upstairs to the celebrations. =)

So I need to prioritize here.

I'm thinking I finish up with Fallout 3 first and shelf it for a while since it has a LOT of replayability, then I do Vesperia since this will be a 1-playthrough thing. Then I do Fable 2. By this time Knothole Glade should be out and I can do the DLC alongside the actual full game.

After that, Hopefully the DLC for Fallout3 should be out and I can dive into that.

It's a nice feeling for a change :P

I'm currently focasing on Rock Band 2 and I'm almost done with CoD World at War. After that, I think it's time for Fallout 3 full time.

I tried this game tonight (the PS3 demo) Best thing on PS3 so far I've played.

It's great. Anyone that is a fan of turn based strategy games should give it a try. I like the art style of the game.

I'm a big fan of turn based strategy and the action bars in this game make it a nice mix of turnbased with a little real time thrown in.

Here's a nice overview of the game:

I still need to pick that one up at some point. If I keep buying games I'm never going to even put them in though, lol.
