Palin will make some phone calls and get them off the endangered list. Then, we won't have any endangered fish at all and you sure will look silly.
Re: This is how nature tells you you are fucking up...
Why do we need different species of fish anyway? they don't really matter. What matters is my money and my stock portfolio.
I tell it like a true mackadelic.

They were fished out by the asians, acting under direct instructions from God, who couldn't be bothered to practice direct intervention in this case since he was busy fixing a basketball game. Thank ya jebus!

Re: This is how nature tells you you are fucking up...
I am sure it will include us, but most likely a whole shit-ton less of us. It is just mother nature's way of regulating itself. This is just a completely ironic and humorous post to me from someone that is such an egotistical and fanatical evolutionist. Humans have been causing this particular problem for decades and in ways that have nothing at all to do with pollution. The stronger native species will survive and in some cases will flourish due to the extinction of some of the species listed....and mostly it is because of th einvasive species that they are flourishing. The smallmouth bass in Lake Erie for instance are thriving because of the goby. They adapted! Now the freshwater streams in the US are going to be real problems because of many issues....one of the biggest of which is actually dams and the flows of water being controlled by humans. I really don't foresee much being done there in the near future, although I know they were doing some studies in Colorado with habitats and releasing amounts of water to simulate spring flood type flows.....so who knows what will happen.

Fish species need to evolve to be tastier and to arrive baked onto my dinner plate.

Reducing the depth of the gene pool by 33%...not great from an evolutionary pov...

Well, bass (especially smallies) are extremely adaptable, as you stated. When they were introduced to Oregon lakes and rivers years and years ago, the spread like wildfire. This is one of the reasons that hardcore salmon-fishing asshats hate bass. It is understandable to a point, but these guys are mostly backwoods-types and really angry.
Another example of their tenacity is the fact that there used to be a thriving largemouth population in the Columbia and Willamette rivers. Now, they are pretty rare.
So in conclusion: Smallmouth Bass > all.

Oh man, that would suck. Those things are ecological time bombs. Very Darwinian though. I appluad their adaptability, but would rather have them stay on their side of the Rockies.

Tuna are being cleared out of the Med at a truly alarming rate. After they go, the big fleets will surely turn to the smaller coastal fish. Soon, Euros will have to turn to McDonald's evil Filet-O-Fish and our plan to make them fat will be complete.
