It won't be out until sometime in 2009 but I predict the birth of a new forum is in our future for it!

It's better than WoW by default but keep an eye on this game.

Finally, a company that is brave enough to make a sword and spell game! If it has rats and spiders to kill, I am so there...

It's an NCSoft game. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you..
It'll probably live for a year or two before folding.

Fantasy swords & sorcery is yawn-inspiring at this point. The only game on the (distant) horizon that I'm actually pretty interested in is the CCP World of Darkness MMO. Otherwise, a nice scifi or cyberpunk style game could probably grab my attention, but I'm not currently aware of any interesting efforts in that direction.

NCSoft is the most reliable company out there for fun MMOs (for non WoW fanbois, Sony fanbois and Apple lovers...collective aka: sheep)

I am always willing to look at other things. Something new and inventive would certainly be nice!

Looks like Lineage 3 to me.

Mentionning only the company's successes without mentionning the failures is kinda one-sided, given that the company is only batting ~50% right now.miir wrote:Yea like all their other fly-by-night games.. Tabula Rasa isn't going great by any means, Auto Assault or already gone and Dungon Runners is dying apparently as well.
And of all the games mentionned above, none of em are worth 15$ a month to play. (Guild Wars and Dungon Runners aside.)

Dungeon Runners is actually doing great for them.
Auto Assault and Tabula Rasa were commercial failures but at least NCSoft are trying different settings (post apocalyptic, sci-fi, Superheroes) in the MMO genre.
Crativity and originality does not seem to mesh well with commercial success in the MMO market.
