A lesson in proper English
I couldn't care less. Saying "I could care less" implies that you do care some.
Winnow (repeat offender), Spang, Fash, Midnyte, Boogahz, and the list goes on but these people have used it incorrectly in the last 4 months... and it's been bugging the hell out of me.
That is all.
Edit: Capital E!

Re: A lesson in proper english
The e in English should be capitalized.
Other than that, I could care less.

Re: A lesson in proper English
You should have wrote "alittle" since so many people write "a lot" as one word.

We've already addressed that. I think most people now realize that "a lot" is two words.Lynks wrote:You should have wrote "alittle" since so many people write "a lot" as one word.

Someone woke up with their g-string on backwards. This is funny, and I will make sure to get this "wrong" for you more often. I know that I have used that phrase at least twice when referring to someone that could care less because they did care some. Maybe you just over analyze stupid shit.Lynks wrote:I couldn't care less. Texas doesn't have a sense of humor... or good education.

Re: A lesson in proper English
kyoukan never capitalized anything including first words of sentences. this isn't a forum to worry about grammar. u r being a bit sensitive.
therefore, such as, I'm not going to stop using lower case at times on non U.S. countries, especially in the case of the french.

I'm using it correctly.
Recall the quote in Noel's .sig, "Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out."
"Could care less" implies I care just enough not to pass out.
"Couldn't care less" would mean you were passed out and unable to reply.
You stand corrected.

Re: A lesson in proper English
I don't care.
Re: A lesson in proper English
Supposably.
Using an apostrophe in a plural (two tree's).
Should/could/would of.
All in all though, I could care less.

Making a post like this and not capitalizing the "E" in English says it all.Lynks wrote:I couldn't care less. Saying "I could care less" implies that you do care some.

However, saying "I could care less" absolutely does NOT imply that you care some. It implies that you COULD care some, but you don't have to ( if you don't want to - neener, neener, neener).

Re: A lesson in proper English
In my defense, writing "English" in French (anglais), doesn't require using a capital letter since the French don't consider a language as a proper noun.
Les Anglais parlent l'anglais.
The English speak English.
