I think either one will be better than Bush, but that is a given. It just feels like America is in a weird sort of funk that we cannot seem to shake off under Bush. We're like Rocky at his low point in the ring. After November, I would hope the funk is lifted and we can move forward under whoever wins and perhaps come out like Rocky in the final round.

Even if it were perception, it takes something rather significant to alter the perception of an entire country. A good example would be, I don't know, a Presidential election?

Only if the right guy wins. If McCain wins the Dems and the media will only press harder to keep this perception going for the election coming up in 4 years. Only during an Obama presidency will a more positive perception be part of the norm by the Dems and the media.

You're not clever and you haven't said anything. I'm telling you the way it is. Follow the way Republicans talk versus how Democrats talk. Dems always tell you how terrible things are and how held back you are and how only they can help you. Republicans focus on opportunity, capitalism, entrepeneurs, success. It's not a secret. Go do some research. Don't come back posting the exception to the rule either. If you really care to be informed then act like it.

I don't see Obama playing the victim at all. He's talking about change and being very optimistic.
Also, I've seen a lot of right wingers whining about the unfair news coverage and left wing media bias. Seems like republicans have no problems playing the victim.

I got as far as seeing that the article you linked was posted by someone named "angrygirl" and I stopped. Sorry.
Mid, I don't know how you let that loose mouthed cock sucking faggot talk to you like he does on these boards and then turn around and raid with him in EQ.
Either someone is your friend or not, it's not cool for someone to say all sorts of fucked up shit about you on a forum to make himself feel cool or feel better about being fat, nerdy, middle aged and still spending all his time playing video games and "flaming" on message boards, or whatever other reasons he does it for, but then you play a game together and act all chummy?
It's ridiculous, and I really thought you had more self respect than that.
I know the first thing I am gonna do when my computers back up and I log into EQ2 again possibly this weekend is remove myself from that guild so I have no ties to the prick.

Relax Funk. I've spoken about this topic to you before. You need to be able to separate VV from RL and MMOLife. VV or any messge board for that matter are not indicative of real life. While there are some on this board who try to represent themselves truthfully, much more others do not. These boards are a place to be someone different. To live an alter ego. To serve as a stress relief. Many others reasons to, I'm sure. I understand how you can get caught up in it. I have found myself caught up it in too. It wasn't until the last time I came back after quitting the all mighty VV, that I've been sucessful in keeping the worlds separated. Miir isn't half the asshole he presents himself to be. Nick isn't half as angry as he represents himself to be. Chill, brother.....chill.Funkmasterr wrote:Don't even have anything to say for yourself. So pathetic.miir wrote:I hope he doesn't spit on me.

Re: Obama WILL be the next president
If John McCain wins the office i'm moving to Canada. He doesn't know how to use a computer. He fabricates/lies about his war stories. His former economic adviser called America a nation of "whiners" in respect to the tight financial situation, he's ran a completely negative campaign - we understand what he's against, but what is he really for? 100 more years in iraq? - and, McCain's plan for the environment falls painfully short of what we need to clean up our nation's carbon dioxide emissions.
The list goes on, and I can write about it all day. And the only thing to be said about Obama is basically, "fear change. he's a radical! a socialist!"

That's some good googling there..
Mind you, I'm not so sure about some of these sources, apparently the NRA doesn't understand the difference between Fact and Opinion either (so I can see why you'd miss that)
e.g. first "Fact"
Fact in green, Opinion in red.FACT: Barack Obama voted to allow reckless lawsuits designed to bankrupt the firearms industry
I know we've been over this before.... perhaps repetition is the key

The subjective comment following voting wasn't really subjetive. It's actually pretty easy to draw the correlation. I think you're stretching a bit. How about this, refrain from the little retorts and just read and learn about your candidate.
