Re: Happy Father's Day
My first Father's Day was spent with a stomach virus given to me by my son. At least he was better the next day (Friday), but not after my mother-in-law freaked out. We've been slowly introducing new foods into his diet and decided to try salmon at 7.5 months. He threw up for about a day, but quickly recovered. My wife, seeking motherly advice/support called her mom and she proceeded to chastise my wife, saying "OMG! You gave Fish to your son!? Kelly's (My sister-in-law) doctor said you give fish at 2 years old! Get him to the ER, NOW!" She eventually sent flowers and apologized and admitted she made the part up about waiting until 2 YO for fish, but Holy Shit! Reminds me why we live 2,000 miles away.
I spent all day Sunday in bed feeling like I was sucker punched and wondering if the next fart was really a burst of soupy excrement in disguise. Sadly, I lost that bet a few times. My wife got it the next day, and we dropped our son off at daycare yesterday since neither of us were in any condition to watch him. Feeling better today, and planning on having a redeux of Father's Day in the near future. I'd describe my First Father's Day as crappy.

Re: Happy Father's Day
I watched my 4-year old daughter on stage doing some group singing and then got taken out to TGI Friday's and had a good meal and a great time (even my daughter who whined she wanted to go to McDonalds on the way had a good time and asked to go back again). I really enjoyed my Father's Day!
