Anyone going?

I've heard some folks are, I probably am despite earlier misgivings.

It's one of the larger cons in the area. I prefer the smaller cons, and am attending Inconjunction over this summer. I went last summer, and it's a small con of about 800. An absolute riot of a time, I have never had so much fun with so many random people.
Gen Con might be a possibility, I'm limited by the distance I can travel from my home in Central Illinois.

Living downtown Indianapolis (at least up to 2 months ago) I just have to say... there are some, uh, interesting characters walking about when GenCon is in town. Even if nobody tells you it's in town you just know.

Yeah, but most of the people are normal and many are cool. But I can't deny there's some freaks.

I bet she meant "interesting characters," as in "normal people!" The area residents would be the odd people!

Think I might be going.

Anyone else? Wouldn't mind meeting some VVers.

Too often it seems it is the peaceful and innocent who are slaughtered. In this a lesson may be found that it may not be prudential to be either too peaceful or too innocent. One does not survive with wolves by becoming a sheep.

I can't wait!

I think we've got event tickets for first thing Thursday, but I want to hit the vendor floor as soon as I can- I'll give you a call as soon as I'm there.
