uhh why is any other name other than aragorn up there?
I really thought sean bean was sexiest as boromir in the first one, but after the two towers aragorn beats them all. I went and saw it around christmastime with my best friend and we were both squirming in our seats every time he was on.
Well the question is who is the hottest guy IN Lotr...i have to go with Legolas, however...when the makeup, contacts and wig are gone - Orlando Bloom isn't that special

Legolas - Very intense. Dark eyebrows and the furl in his brow keep him from being too pretty.
Aragorn - Strong yet vulnerable. With that rebel appeal.
Boramir - Arogant bad boy.
Samwise - Was, is and forever will be a goonie.
Actually if you look at all the characters - Boromir probably out of the men.
I can say that cause no.1 Unlike Trake - I do not have sex with men.
and no.2 I can comment on how a man looks without caring if im called gay cause guess what! Im not.
Security...learn it.....live it...love it.
Then again to many people can't seem to grow out of that high school mentality of dont call me gay!.......shrug

Heh, sorry but no. My attraction to a clean, wholesome, baby-faced looking guy does not equate to me having some predisposed liking for other women. You might be misinformed to your idealogy that women must be attracted to strong beastly looking men with enough hair on their chests, legs, and pits to cover up Chewbacca.[/url]

You don't sound very secure when you try to convince others that you're not gay.
So back to my question... Who the fuck was the Ranger guy that the boys met in the Inn?

FFS if you don't know the answer to that, you shouldn't even be responding to this poll - that question is fucking blasphemous at best. (It's Aragorn btw...)
I really don't think you should be making any comments on other people's security - or lack thereof.
And to answer the original poll... MMMMMM LEGOLAS, followed closely by MMMMMM ARAGORN. Faramir was pretty facking cute as well. As are all the hobbits in a fuzzy-footed kind of way. Sean Bean (Boromir) looks much better out of character than in character and is quite good looking as well. As is Elrond. And I cannot believe your forgot Haldir. His unexpected entrance in The Two Towers made me giddy (as did his the cut scenes including him in Fellowship). And under the list of beautiful ladies... You left out Galadriel - WTF. And you can completely remove that hussy Eowyn, she sux.

I'm puzzled. You're saying that because I don't have the character names memorized, I'm not qualified to say which guy I feel was cutest? Where's the logic?

Ok, I'll bite... Why should I not make comments on other people's security - or lack thereof?

Jesus! No wonder you're crying about my not knowing a characters name. You really worship this shit, don't you? hehe

Insecure enough to feel the need to respond.
I'm j/k, hun. Your security or insecurity is none of my business. I just find it interesting that guys often follow up the statement "I don't care if you think I'm gay or not" with "because I know I'm not!" hehehe
Just an observation.

We speak of Legolas, not the actor who plays him. Orlando Bloom is a good looking guy, but slap a blond wig and some make-up on him, and he's more womanly than Jessica Simpson.
But it's okay to feel that way, girls. Bisexuality is in, just ask MTV!

Couldn't think of his name, and was running out to lunch. Forgive me.

Personally, I think that's the best Kate Blanchett has ever looked. Of course being dragged to the movie 'Mary' (about Mary Queen of Scotts) kind of ruined her for me until seeing her as Galadriel. You're right though, she looks fantastic and I apologize again.
I think Eowyn is gorgeous though. Actually slightly better looking than Arwen, which I think is a mistake in terms of casting the movie. In the books, Arwen was the most beautiful woman any mortal or immortal had ever laid eyes on. If you set up Liv Tyler to fill that role, I think you have to put in costars that are NOT hotter than her. /shrug
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

I don't recall Legolas wearing make up, if at all, in the movie. If he did, I'm sure that it was not much more/less than what any of the other males had on in their roles. I'd also venture to say that most of the men in that movie wore wigs of some sort. Maybe the entire elven population in that film wore blonde wigs? I'd hardly say that that made them more feminine than your regular teeny bop pop singer.
Do you like Jessica Simpson? Maybe you aren't comfortable with the fact that you find Legolas attractive because, according to your statement, he's more womanly than a well-drooled over pop star.

1. You can't prove either one
2. Someone bumped a special thread. Guess who wasn't on the list and guess who won
3. We like to bust your chops! Don't be offended...

You know, maybe if you held a press conference to officially announce this, people would believe you.

Orlando Bloom isn't blond; that's a wig. And his eyes aren't blue, either; those are color contact lenses.
I know. >< I was talking about Legolas. Legolas sexiness isn't all about his looks either. He's amazingly smooth and has this intense persona. Plus in Two Towers, the banter between him and Gimli is hilarious. Incredibly good looking + intense + funny = sex god in my book.

I would have to agree with this. I found Eowyn much hotter than Arwen. Call me cazy

Everyone in movies, male and female, wears make up. That's because the lighting in big-budget productions creates a very harsh and unnatural look for the human face. Under heavy lighting like that, your every wrinkle, pore, blemish and general imperfection becomes acutely visible. In order to counter that effect, people are given heavy make up.
You're right, though, in suggesting that Legolas probably didn't wear much more than anyone else involved in the film. I do know that he wore a light foundation to give his skin a fair, elven glow.
