Islands of Adventure (a Universal theme park in Orlando) isn't on here and that's a crying shame.

Have to get to Cedar Point one of these days. Until I try others, I'm going with Other: Great Adventure. Between rolling thunder, scream machine, batman, batman&robin, nitro, and my fav, medusa, you got coaster heaven so close to home.

I have been to Cedar Point, Magic Mountain, the Six Flags in Missouri, Busch Gardens, Disney World... and I think there's another that I'm forgetting. Cedar Point is by far the best out of all of those.

Wow - Cedar Point - haven't been there since the 70s - glad to hear it's still a fun place.

Never, ever go to King's Dominion - went last year with some friends and it was really lame. A lot of the really cool stuff you had to pay 5$+ for - that is after paying 20$+ to get into the place.

Cedar Point is a coaster junkies' paradise!

Teh Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA kicks the one in Tampa's nuts, and then curbs it ghetto style!

I have a feeling that quite a few menz are voting for Aranuil's bedroom. Once a ranger, always a ranger...

Who voted for Knotts Berry Farm? Ug, that park sucks unless it's changed greatly in the past 15 years.

Magic Mountain is the best I've been to for rollercoasters. I remember riding the Revolution back when a loop coaster was a big deal.

The ride at the top of the Stratosphere in Las Vegas is still the scariest ride I've been on. Riding kyoukan is the only thing I can think of that would be scarier.

I had a blast this summer at DisneyLand with Fu and friends from work... I had never been to a disney park before (i was deprived as a kid!!)

I had to vote for Great America... since I had always had a blast there as a kid and had not been to any of the other locations besides Disneyland in Anaheim.Sorry Fu, we had a blast, I know.. but can't diss the Great America!

I live about 30 min from Six Flags Great America (chicago area). Maybe the park will still be open when the FF happens *shrugs*

MGM or Universal in Orlando, not so much for the rides as the content build around them. I love indoor coasters, even though I'm scared shitless going in.

I don't get the last two choices, please elaborate

Considering only one registered user here on EQvault has even seen my bedroom, I think it's kind of neat that it's the #2 amusement park in the US!

Here's the link to the press release from Cedar Point:
http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/news/story.cfm?id=112
To summarize the press release - 420 feet tall, 120 miles per hour.

I don't think I'll be getting on it this summer, the Millennium Force nearly did me in. I'll go back down to Kings Island and get on The Beastie.

Obviously a lot of coaster fans here and nothing wrong with that.

I liked Universal Studios in Florida the best. Lot of different attractions there and a lot of them, you could participate in. You also learned quite a bit about how movies are made as well. The Back to the Future ride was awesome and the boat chase in the lagoon to end the night is the bomb..

I have also been to Busch Gardens and it was ok. The Big Bad Wolf had just opened and was the first US coaster that had suspended cars. THAT was a wierd coaster compared to conventional coasters. (Yeah, I am an old fart).

6 Flags in Missouri has a pile of coasters, but it is a second rate park.

Personally, I can't give a vote to either of the Universal Studios parks. Don't get me wrong, they're fun to go to, have great attractions, and fun shows to watch.

The problem is, you really can't go to them more than once every 5 years because you'll see basically the same things over and over again. Whereas with a Magic Mountain, I could ride the Batman ride 19 times in a row and I'd be just fine with that.

Having said that, the Universal theme parks are a great place to take grandparents or people that have trouble getting around, because there's lots of sitting.

I agree, but I didn't want to say anything about Six Flags over Mid-America because I haven't been in over 10 years. Still, it wasn't as cool as Six Flags over Texas. hehe The one in Missouri was more like a carnival.

The Judge Roy Scream was like the world's fastest wooden rollercoaster in the 70's or something, but since 1979, it has never been the main attraction to Six Flags over Texas. How long has it been since you went? Here are some of the thrill rides at Six Flags over Texas.

LA VIBORA
In English, it means "The Viper," and it certainly has a thrilling bite! Fashioned after the competitive bobsled, this exciting ride shoots passengers twisting through freewheeling, fast-moving bobsled thrills.

SPLASH WATER
Make a splash in this out-of-this-world water adventure! Take your place in each sleek boat, ascend high in the sky and then zoom down for an exhilarating, water-filled landing.

WILDCATTER
Another Six Flags Over Texas first! This cliffhangin' experience shoots passengers 10 stories straight in the air, then pushes them over the edge, racing downward in a heart-pounding, one-of-a-kind freefall.

MINE TRAIN
The ride that changed roller coasters forever! The Six Flags Over Texas mine train was the world's first tubular steel roller coaster.

CONQUISTADOR
Like an exhilarating adventure on the high seas, this swinging Spanish ship starts calmly but quickly explodes into fantastic fun.

DIVE BOMBER ALLEY
Only the most daring will venture on to this thrilling attraction that sends you diving into a 150-foot drop at high speeds.

TEXAS GIANT
Appropriately named, this monstrous wooden roller coaster towers 14 stories into the Texas sky and reaches a top speed of 62 mph. After consistently being named the #1 wooden roller coaster in the world, it has been given the impressive title "America's Coaster."

MR. FREEZE
This powerful roller coaster is the coolest coaster on the planet. At 242 chilling feet, it is the tallest roller coaster in Texas, and topping out at 70 mph, it is also the fastest!

BATMAN THE RIDE
This roller coaster is the most innovative and classic coaster design of the 20th century- featuring riders suspended from track.

RUNAWAY MOUNTAIN
The coaster that dares the darkness, this one-of-a-kind steel roller coaster is enclosed in a 65-foot tall mountain to provide a high-speed adventure in the mysterious dark.

FLASHBACK
Get ready to go "loopy" on this unique steel roller coaster. It turns riders upside down SIX times - 3 times going forward, and 3 times going backward. Wow, what a thrill, coming and going!

TITAN
Towering 255 feet above the earth, the muscular steel superstructure features one of the world's mightiest drops at hyper speeds of 85 miles an hour.

SHOCK WAVE
Another Six Flags innovation, the Shock Wave was the world's first roller coaster with back-to-back vertical loops. This steel coaster wows riders from start to finish and serves as a "billboard of thrills" to passers-by.

You missed one...or two... That i liked going once or twice a year.. "La Ronde"

In montréal, i think it was recently purchased by six flags too but they kept the same name it had for years..

It's a really neat little amusement park on a little island near montreal.

Lastly, i think you forgot to add Canada's paramount wonderland.
Went there a couple times in toronto. Nice place with some fun rides

For all the others since i don`t live in the USA i did not have a chance to try them. I went to the Florida Disney theme park when i was 4.. i don`t remember a thing... And i would die to go just one more time so i can actually remember the experience.
