What would you buy if you had $250 bucks to burn?

Post by Kryshade »

So the question is pretty simple. I've got alittle money to blow guilt free, so I'm trying to come up with ideas of something that would be cool. I've got most of the standard gadget stuff: Ipod, Xbox 360, updated comp, surround sound etc. I'm trying to get ideas of stuff that I probably haven't thought about. I know everyone has that thing that you never knew how much you loved/needed until you had it, and then you wonder how you got along without it. So what do you guys have that your glad you purchased and use on a regular basis?

I thought about upgrading my 19" Samsung monitor to a 24". I saw one at Sams Club for just over $300, but I'm pretty happy with my current one, so not sure thats the route I wanna go. Thought about upgrading my comp to 4 gigs of ram, but again, I don't really play any of the lastest games on it to utilize that much. An HDVD/BluRay Player would be kinda cool, but I don't know that I want to get one this early (still not convinced the war is over) and I dunno that I could get a decent one for $250-300.

So trying to get some ideas... what are those cool electronic gadgets/equipment that you never knew you'd love so much?

Save it. I don't go around looking for something to spend money on. If there's not anything I particularly want I'll just stick the money in the bank.

Although stimulating the economy is good.. So spend spend spend!

Tivo HD. I thought the cable company's DVR was fine until I tried it, and I love it. I have a Series3 but I don't think it's really worth the cash as compared with the Tivo HD.

Noise reduction head phones. Greatest. Invention. Ever.

The Bose are around $400, but I got a pair of Logitech that are almost identical for $50 (on sale from $200).

I don't know how I listened to music/movies without them. Everyone I let try them on says "wow", without fail. Everyone. It's pretty cool.

Nice idea. I'll say get bluetooth stereo headphones though. $99.00 from Logitech and work/sound great with portable players. Cords are so lame.
