The play by the Giants where Manning was almost sacked was one of, if not the, best plays I've ever seen (granted, I don't watch much football). The Giants fought hard for this win, they earned every yard of it.

Good job guys, good job.

He broke three tackles and then threw it to someone who caught it on their head.

What a great game. Belicheat deserved this loss, and the Giants deserved the win. Now hopefully everyone will stop comparing the two brothers.

First non-cheating SB they play in and they lose. This makes it all so sweet.

The play of the Giants defensive line was really amazing. Those guys probably left a couple years of their life and a good chunk of soul on that field.

Pretty boring game up until the 4th quarter.

Nice win and game plan by the Giants.

I didn't care who won. But, that game was fantastic from start to finish. Great defense, huge plays, good football. And, from the first play it seemed like the Giants wanted it more. I think the Pats are the better team, but the Giants willed that win.

The Giants had Brady in a vice the whole game and the world's biggest horseshoe lodged in Eli Manning's ass in that 4th quarter play.

One of the best super bowls I've ever seen. It was all about the quarterbacks for the last two weeks, and what do you know, the first 3 quarters were about the defenses, and the last quarter was about the offenses. one for the ages. I honestly didn't care either, except that I work around a lot of people that have never stepped a foot in Boston/NE, and yet they are the biggest pat's fans evah. None of them are at work today after talking shit to everyone and anyone all year long.

Personally, it was those people, and the Pat's trying to trademark "19-0" that made me think their loss was deserved.

Other than those two things, I would have been just as happy for the Pats to cement their dynasty status, and "one of the best" status. Now, this season means nothing for them. I hope all those records are enough to get them to sleep at night.
The New York Post yesterday mocked the Patriots’ attempt to trademark “19-0” and “19-0 The Perfect Season” and “Perfect Season,” and the tabloid even applied for its own trademark - “18-1” - in anticipation of a Giants victory.

Tom Petty wasn't as good as Prince for the most part, but I enjoyed the guitar solo at the very end of the performance, and the crowd seemed happy enough.

I don't know about that, they seemed to really be having fun, and it seemed like the band really enjoyed themselves too. I liked it, sure is better than Janet Jackson and he who will not be named.

It'll be tough to top Prince's halftime show from last year's Super Bowl. That was arguably the best ever.

Last Wednesday before the Super Bowl, several radio stations here in the Phoenix area had ads asking for "enthusiastic" people that wanted to be on the field during the halftime show. I'm not sure if they were paid but they were coached how to act before the show.

Midnyte's right on this one. Faked! They may have enjoyed the show but what you saw, they were told to do.

It's not like this was anything new. The crowd on the field is part of the performance, just like if they used a large dance team like in many other half-time shows. I didn't actually watch this one, but in others they would often cut to the people in the stands for the game which was interesting. You could see people wondering why the particular performer was at a football game.

Yup. There was a casting call for those people....lots of rules, "rehearsal" attendance, etc... Most likely, they had no idea who Tom Petty is nor the basic concepts of american football. :)

Really? I think his vocals sound better and better as he ages. His range is still there and his voice sounds strong. I thought the show was good, but it's going to be real hard to top Prince. Those are two completely different types of performances.

Anyways, I thought it was well known that the Super Bowl halftime crowds are hand selected for the events. They even caught some press flak for the Stones half time because almost all the people in the crowd were youngsters who weren't even born when the Stones were huge.

It isn't just them. All players want to be selected but nobody wants to actually play, except maybe first-timers. The pro bowl isn't very interesting for the most part. Therefore, I can't factor in losing the SB to the players not playing in the pro bowl. Of course, losing like they did, I can't picture them being all motivated to play until next season. :)

The NFL Pro Bowl is a total waste of time. Does anyone even watch it? It penalizes those selected as it eats into their vacation time.

The players that sucked in 2007 should have to play in the Pro Bowl. Go Cardinals!
